Have access to clones wanna try a clone before putting exspensive seeds into the waterfarm...Test run...FIRST HYDRO GROW PLEASE HELP WITH THE ??
agreed once it is rooted sure i wouldnt try to root a clone in a water farmYou need to let roots develop, at least that is what I have gathered. When you say "off a plant", I assume you mean directly. If get a close that has developed a decent amount of roots, not just cut from another branch, than I think you are totally good to go. Just finishing up my first grow in waterfarms, and that exactly how I did it. Good luck, those waterfarms are the best! I can't contain my plants they are so bushy!
If you put the WaterFarm up on a milk crate or something, you can use the blue tube on the side to drain the res into a bucket. It's pretty nice, especially if your going to be doing a SCROG where reservoir changes can be difficult/impossible. I was doing it the hard way until someone suggested draining it, and it's really convenient. Then, you can mix your nutrients and just pour over the hydroton until the water reaches the optimal level marker on the same drain tube. The best part, is that you can pour some of the res into a glass and now you can test PPMs and pH very conveniently. Hempy Buckets looks pretty nice too though! Thanks dr....so i was gonna use the waterfarm but im feeling like the res changes might be to much for me so im thinking about hempy buckets anyone tried these??
Hey bro the waterfarm doesn't need to be that high up in the air to drain because of the water pressure. Just use bowl or something you can dump into a bucket. I've got mine on a couple of pieces of 4x4 wood. Scrog about 10-12 inches above the bucket and put your light at its maximum height (no more than four feet though, if it's a 400w hps). Check out this grow and it will answer all your questions https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/344359-pineapple-express-g13-labs-seed.htmlIm limited in space so my putting the farm on a create cant work only have 55 inch high...Man im just confused on how to do it...
hey man wow you been getting allot but to the initial ? hempys are GREAT i use thenm for all my mothers here are a few pics if you are seriouse about them i can help you out easy. Thanks dr....so i was gonna use the waterfarm but im feeling like the res changes might be to much for me so im thinking about hempy buckets anyone tried these??
you can do a per/ver mix i choose to do 100% perlite for no specific reason but it works great i actually take a clone then put it in a 3x3 rockwool and veg it in my ebb&flow tray for a while till the roots are well established then when they are i go straight to the hempy bucket (5 gal) where they will be for a long while. not quite sure how old that mom is but she has been around for a good long while prably about 5 months and has donated hundreds of clones. i will need to replace her soon as i think she is prably very rootbound not sure though. i water with straight water once every 3 waterings (ph'd of course) and the rest is my normal nute mix. but no changing res's or anything like that it is very nice. Thanks DR. G...So is it true that u wont really have to mess with the ph and ppm to much with hempy..basically water 2-3 week ,feed 1 week, sorry first timer and want the simpliest system out there..Do u mix ur medium per. and ver.. or how r u doing it becuase ur mother looks awsome...she would be huge if put her into flower....I was wondering what plugs u use before putting them into 24 oz cups then 2 gallon buckets is my plan...Im starting from seed...can prolly get clones too..Any help DR G is awsome or whoever else can help me...I read the old threads but like i said there old 3-4 yrs just wondering if things have changed..THANKS EVERYONE FOR UR HELP
