I am sure he means red spectrum 2700 for flower and blue spectrum 6400 for vegetative. I am running a 250 watt hps and I have the 24 watt cfls in the corners for boost. seems to make a difference too.

yah i am going to be doing this as well, how are you mounting yours in the corner? 4 different sockets?

here is a pic of how I set mine up. the sockets are from the hardware store. they are like heatlamp fixtures and came with an aluminum hood for each socket but I discarded those cause I have reflective sheeting up. I just attach a string to the ceiling and the sockets have clamps at the end that I clamp to the rope. when the plant gets bigger you can choke up on the rope and adjust your height as needed. the socket assembleys were like 6 bucks apiece. hope this helps:twisted:

ok guys,

i put 2 X CFL lamps ( 60W each ) on the corners of the tent. CFLS dont block light of HPS because they are on the corners. i also lifted the cooltube roughly 15 cm and it is 40 cm away from the canopy. my tent is brighter now.
i will put 2CFLs more on the other 2 corners.

if i use combo of cfls and hps is it ok for cfls to be under hps or does that block its lite. Should the cfls just be in the corners?
