can i use opaque plastic roofing?

Hi i left my plants outdoor and giving them a plastic opaque roofing with direct sunlight, will it still get right sunlight suitable for its veg stage and flowering?

do you mean like inside a wooden structure with just a roof that allows sun in? or basically making a cheap greenhouse from opaque plastic? if you make a frame around your plant/s and than just put opaque plastic around it than that would work. green houses work well to grow cannabis. but if the plant is inside a structure and light only gets in through the top than thats not enough light. hope that helped! good luck!
