Can I veg indoors and flower outdoors any time of year?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I should be able to veg plants indoors for 30 days, then take them outside to flower them for 60 days - virtually any time of year. Am I mistaken? Is it the decreasing light or the small amount of light that triggers flowering? I think it's the small amount... that's why 12 hours, over and over, works after 18-20 hrs. of vegging.

Ideas or thoughts? There may be some months where it wouldn't work so well because the sun will be both increasing and shining for a lot of hours/day. I have a really cool chart a master gardener friend gave to me... and if I can find it, I'll post it. It tells how much light hours we get each day of the year. I couldn't find one online just now... but there could be one out there.

it doesnt have to be exactilly 12/12 . ive seen people on 13/11 light, just like outdoors after the langest day the days get shorter and the sex shows in about 2 weeks and the days decrese 2-3 mins a day so 2 weeks it only decrese about an hour from 15/9 light to 14/10 light

ive been doing it with great success, u can do afew outdoor harvest a year, the only time i dont veg indoor is in summer when the plants will veg outside anyway. if u only want to veg indoor for a couple months of the year depending what country your on u cant flower them. i suggest u veg outdoor and flower in this time or leave them outside for 12 hours and bring them back into the house in a dark room with no light leaks, so u need to plant them in a pot so transport

I currently use the system you are describing. I veg and clone inside year round along with using the sun during the day, yes moving them inside and out can be a pain in the arse but I am able to grow with the sun this way year round. During this time of year(deceasing light) I simply set them outside and let nature take over, I do move them inside if the weather is nasty as it can be this time of year and put them under shelter at night to keep the dew or night rains off of them. During increasing light I simply move them inside a dark room each day at around the same time each day. I have never had problems with this method, only getting into the routine of being johnny on the spot each day to keep my light cycle correct. Happy Growing and never stop trying new methods you never know what you might findout about your plants.
