Normally you would want 6500K if your going to be vegging, plants during growth need more of the blue spectrum, and 2700K is more red, so more for flowering.

I've not bought from these guys personally, but my friend swears by them, 1000bulbs.com, they have a huge selection of CFL's and LED lights in all packages and colors.

Depending on the size of grow you are planning on doing, getting about 200 watts of CFL, 200W worth of bulbs in 6500K for vegging and another 200W worth of bulbs in the 2700k would get one plant to a decent size I would think. Although you'd want that to be in a small room, CFL's don't penetrate well so they would have to be almost kissing the plant.

Hope this helps, I'm just relaying information I've picked up over the time, I'm still new in the indoor world, starting my first LED project shortly.

Well, my previously horribly wilted clones seem to like them. I'm not sure which- I ended up getting a 5 gallon bucket and putting the clones in, and clipping the LED light to the edge of the bucket, and kinda balancing the CFL right next to it, the light from both touching both plants.

This morning they are no longer wilted. Later I will get one more of each light (I don't want to kill these clones) and test it one with the LED and one with the CFL to see which one they actually like.

Really, I only need it in order to root the clones, I have a 400W HPS already, I tried putting them in there but they didn't like it, I think it was too much light?

I'll check out that website too, thanks.

It is more in the proper flowering spectrum, but I see no reason you cant veg with it. I've vegged with just HPS before with good results. Many people do both phases with just HPS or with just MH.
