So im worried about cooling my flowering room so i was wondering if it ok to open the closet to vent and cool while my 600w hps is running or does it have to be light proof ?i know its gota be light tight during lights out but any help would be great.also i have my veging closet open for the same reasons and thats what light will get in there tho its not right infront of my flowering closet.

As long as you flower room light is on it is o.k. to have door, vents, ext open. I have a 5x5 tent with a 600watt hps and in the summer I always leave my tent windows and doors open during lights on. Just be sure to close it up when the lights go out

you dont have to worry about light leaking in during lights on...so yes you can leave ur closet door open, with no worries....and u already said it, so u know that u cant have any light leaks during lights off period....thats when total darkness is important....

TOTAL darkness isn't that important. It just needs to be like 95% dark. Remember that plants will still grow in nature in some light, via the moon is present, artificial lights.
Think about it, if you were growing a plant next to your front porch and your porch light is on at night will it really not grow? Yes, it'll still grow.
Just saying, it doesn't have to be UTTER COMPLETE DARKNESS.

thanks for the info i just mite have screwed everything up wit my plants i didnt do a daily check on my girls like always due to working 14 hours last two days and checked em today to close closet before lights out n they were all out of water and i dnt know how long they were like this they still really green and they about 2 and a half foot tall so im hoping they come back now that i have gave them fresh nutes and lots of water.im a dumbass and they drooping sooooo much
