WUT UP RIU!! Can the red light off of fan and power strip cause hermies in Fem seeds during the first 2 week of flower? I first noticed my power strip light was way bright some time into the veg cycle, a week or 2 in. I fixed it, and moved on. Then 1-1.5 week into the flower period I noticed my fan in the flower room was shooting off a way bright red light ( had tape over it but it slipped off.). Can this be enough to cause the girls to herm. both instances the light was pretty bright for having to be completely dark. All other issues like temps, light leaks from the outside coming in, etc have all been covered. It has to be these lights fuckin up the dark periods from the inside. give me some input from your experiences I really appreciate it!!!

FEM Seeds were from Reserva and DNA's tude promo. out of 7 fem seeds, 2 seem good (La COnf and Headband) . They are 2 weeks and 3 days old exactly. I was really expecting more from them.

I suppose any interuption or sepage of light to your flowers could in fact cause a hermie although I must say that the indicator lights on my timers and fans have never caused me issue the past 4 yrs. when in doubt, do away with the light source with tape as you are doing but I think you should be ok. good luck and keep me posted should it turn on you. I'd be interested on how bright that lil red light is lol.

I think the light thing is something people hear & repeat over & over. What happens when growing outdoors & theres a full moon. No hermies. What a bout lightning, no hermies, Street lights.. I could go on & on. As simply above said, I also have a power strip w/ light & have never had a problem.

to be honest i leave my tent in the corner of the room and try to keep it dark as possible but my TV and hallways light or simple things always are on or you know just used in general and i dont run into any herms unless i inflict it myself by bad surroundings and grow area... so just love them and try to keep them happy , but its always best to keep it dark and jus assure urself =)

thanks for the replys, I am at my wits end this is my second grow using reserva and DNA seeds and they herm again. I have never had issues b4( grown 4-5 years) but never used reserva or dna. so I assumed it had to be alight leak. So Made sure no light comin in just to be safe. THis time around again, so assumed it had to be a light on from the inside. Just dont know, anymore. I am given up on DNA and reserva. I had 4 blue ogs in the same tent and cameout fine. Both instancees the reservas and DNA showed herm signs 2 weeks into flower? no problems with the other breeders or strains in the same tent!!! WHO KNOWS ANYMORE

I think you answered your own question. the reservas and DNA may simply have a slightly higher hermie tendency. Look for breeders that actively select against hermies.

Only other thing I can noticed was that around week 1.5 into flower I prunned and trimmed up the fan leaves. Then like 2-3 days later I noticed the issues on the girls. But again only on the DNA/ Reservas. Sucks I really was expecting good from them and heard a lot aswell .
