Yikes .... How was the heat in your grow area ?
Buds do this when plant is heat stressed to cool off.

MG soil
PH 6.5
Temp 72-101F (only for flower was it so high, nothing I could do at the time)
5 gal Home Depot Buckets
GO BOX nutes
101f will cause that.. Need to be under 90... 80 is better.. good luck next grow..

Ok so you did a good job learning.
Next time you know the temps need to be better.
5 gallon HD buckets must have drain holes.
Most important. Find a different soil like Fox farm ocean forest instead of MG.
Next grow has to be better.

Sativa will do the airy buds, especially at high temperatures.
If you want to grow rock like buds, switch to indica. I prefer my weed on the loose side, then again I like smoking joints, sticky thick weed doesn't work as nicely for that.

That pic is really dark but it doesn't look anywhere near done.
Even an Auto WW should fill in much more than that.
What type of lighting did you use?

Make sure the whole thing gets light because it looks like larf youd find at the bottom of the canopy. Also like everyone else said let it go a bit longer switch soil n temps but make sure your humidity is in check check out a VPD chart. And around flush time what ive done in the past at buddies grows to help density is switch my lights the last week to a pure blue spectrum if led or half mh if ur with hps and run the room super cold. Better luck next time.

let's see the bud in the light - as others have mentioned, it looks more like you harvested way too early. how long did you flower it for?

i had the same problems using the go box line of nutrients . my guess is that its the nutrients causing problems with the plant
