ok, if i have cheese plants growing, and in parts of my room the temp drops as low as 64 at night and its about 82 lights on, but when lights are off i should imagine that there is cold drafts coming in from outside at maybe a temp of 60 hitting a couple of my plants.....

would this cause some plants in the draft to go purple stemmed, and mature leaves pretty much all going yellow and dying off over a couple of weeks, and a little burning on my leaves happening maybe due to a phosphorus lockout also because of the cold?

(while other plants in the same room are doing perfectly fine)

my ph is 5.8 ec is around 1.4-1.8 week 4 flower.

thanks

No cold wouldn't cause that. You have a deficiency most likely nitrogen. Could be lockout pics would help..

its not nitrogen as the leaves go yellow on random parts of the plant, the ones that are in heat are really healthy and fine, also some of the plants are burning on the sides of the fan leaves a touch. wont yellow drafts make leaves go yellow and die off?

Gads.. I hate to play devils advocate.. *ducks*.. But ya, temps going from 80's and 90's to low low 60's can indeed cause phosphorus to not get locked out, but to have it's uptake slowed and some strains that are not purple by nature, will indeed purple.

Dose her up on phosphorus and amoniac nitrogen (non organic) and the nitrogen will help speed the recovery as phosphor uptake responds better with the nitrogen (assuming everything else is normal and not over done too badly).... Usually they respond real quick.. If you keep jolting them back and forth quickly between temp ranges, they will still purple, but you will slow it and you will see increased bud development, as if it is due to the temp swings, bud yield also diminishes the longer you let that Phosphorus deficiency go on.

This has been my personal experience over the years.. I am no expert.. just an enthusiast who has dealt with like issues for some time.. and this is what has worked 'for me'.. Heck, I don't even take my own advice half the time.. so be wary.. keep researching..

parts of your room??? theres something wrong with that statement. you need better air circulation in your room. and temps over 80 during flower have been known to have a negative affect on thc production on the plant. I keep my day and night temps within 10 degrees of each other. usually 5 or so. towards the end of the cycle I lower my temps gradually throughout the latter weeks to simulate autumn. I started at 78 and i'm at week 7.5 and now my day temps are 70-72.

The point is you need to get nutes n/p to the plant the faster you add nutes and fix temps plant will be fine..

i say parts of my room because i have cold drafts coming in where ive made small vents for fresh air supply, the exhaust fan is taking all of the hot air back out of the room from my heater when the lights are off. causing patches of cold in my room

Don't run ur exhaust at night. Ur plants don't need it. And your lights should keep it warm enough in there. If not yeah u'll have to throw a heater in there.

the smell will get out if i dont leave the fan on a little. the fan still needs to filter the air

I'm sorry I'm used to having all the right things ie dehumidifier and can filter with inline fan for air scrubbing.

Are your plants right on the floor? Your roots might be getting cold. I use a 2in thick silver insulation board under all my ladies. Try and keep your roots semi warm it may help.

can you explain what you do please? thanks
my op is in LA so I don't need a heater. but if cold was an issue i'd have a heater. and you match the BTU's to your needs don't get a tiny heater if you need a medium or large one. and I would get a forced air heater so as to not localize the heat in one part of my room. (ducting it into or through the room)
well....I have a closed room. no exhaust. I run a sentinel CHHC-4 and through that I have a co2 emitter with a 30lbs tank, a 5 ton A/C, large dehumidifier. I also have two oscillating fans. when smell becomes an issue I have a large ( again appropriate to the size of the grow) can filter with an inline fan ( again, with proper CFM (cubic feet per minute) for your grow room) the can filter can just sit on the floor. you can put some ducting on it to minimize the sound it'll make. (cuz they can be loud) The thing is just supposed to "scrub" the air in your room cleaning it of odor. make sure the fan is fast enough to cycle all the air in your room about every 3 minutes I think. I don't leave anything to guessing. everything is digitally controlled in my room. but that's because my op is 2 hours away and if something goes wrong I might not see it for upto 4 days. and then it'll be too late. like sat night when I should up and something happened with my titan controller that is a on/off timer for my aero cloner. so when I should up all my cuts were all but dead. I'll be very surprised indeed if I come back and they're or any are fine. and I just cut my moms back too. this'll set me back a couple weeks between cycles. sheesh. uuuhhhh....sorry I got on a tangent. hope I answered the question. and yes I don't vent my room at all. and my nugs are looking proper.
