Random bag seed.
Temps never been above 90, hovers between 70-85 usually.
Local organic soil, couple of handfuls of gravel at the very bottom for extra drainage.
Starting out with 4 cfls, and a disposable pan I crafted into a makeshift hood for my cfl fixture which consist of 3 Y socket splitters.
I have a fan which keeps air circulating through the cab really nicely.
18-6 lighting schedule.

Day 11-

4 Socket CFL Fixture/Hood I made.

Plant that's showing the most drastic signs. Both the first little seed leaves are curled up brown also, not sure if you can tell from this pic.

Little seed leaves on this one are yellow as a banana, and the ridges in the leaves are very dramatic for some odd reason.

I'd say this is the healthiest of the (6) plants.

This plant is even developing some really dark(if not black) patch on it.

A shot of the 6 plants total.

What do you guys think is wrong with them? Please please please all comments are welcome!

looks like a heat or super nute burn, make sure youve got holes in your pots and get a fan.
Hmm, the hottest its been is 90 degrees which was like 4 days ago but I've since then replaced the fan resulting in cooler temps. No nutes have been used, and everything has holes in the bottom except for the party cup! I did recently transplant yesterday but I don't think this could be a result!

Thank you for responding!!!

818eac27.jpg The picture to the left is a picture I posted yesterday. I just recently checked on them and the brown on those leaves have almost completely taken over them now.

Remember I've used no nutes and some locally made organic soil. Feeding with tap water thats sat out since about the start of my grow.

Even the plant I said was doing the healthiest is showing some slight yellowing. :/
Day 12; Needs help.

My vote is nute burn.
Just because you havent used any fertilizer dosent mean the soil is mellow enough to not burn a seedling.
Just leave it alone, dont over water it, and see if it dosent grow out of it. Seedlings die pretty easy when you start messing with them.

I'm really hoping they will just fight this off for a few more days, I will get a PH meter tomorrow and check those numbers out as well. Also with the watering, I stick my pinky in the soil and don't water until necessary.

my vote is hot soil...
The soil looks very dark, but I assure you it's not hot. I don't think it's possible for that with the lighting I'm using ( 4 x CFL's )

Thanks for all your replies, I'm not giving up on these.

Hot soil means it has alot of bioavalable nutrients, not that its hot to the touch, bro-migo :)
If you have too much nutrients in the soil, your plants will burn and eventually look like they caught fire.
Theres a bit more to growing than throwing seeds in a bucket.....unless your growing outside.
Thats why were here to help :)

You know what, I bet its PH, the soil your using has alot of wood and wood can usually be acidic.
Test that shit with some litmus paper or a meter.

Wow, thank you for the two great responses. I had no clue thank you thank you thank you. I am getting more soil tomorrow so I'll also grab a PH meter. I did also suspect the PH! Be sure to check back tomorrow as I'll update again then.

"Local Soil" is your problem. You will have no idea the NPK of it of no tag...
Also, why is it that hot with CFL's- should not be hitting 90°... Try 75-82°
and... Have you been pH testing? Run off should be 5-5.5 and water you water the plants with should be 6-6.6.

theres time-released nutrients in your soil.. in the first pic you posted I can see one of the little green balls.. not good for seedlings, mixed with overwatering, can cause quick death for them..

sorry im late, but he laid it out for you. and as grapesnowcone said nute balls can kill them at this age very easily.
