Can stickers help spread a positive message for legalization?

So I was having one of my usual streams of ideas while chilling stoned and I had a great idea for a political activism website. The theory behind it is printing stickers with a clean, nonoffensive, political message and distributing them in places of high visibility. Distribution would focus on major cities but anyone would be able to purchase sticker packs through the website.

stickers would carry very simple political images like these

(probably edited to be more universally friendly)

It would certainly be best to get artist approval for the artwork, but I doubt they would disapprove of its use. The simpler leaf-and-words graphics would be easy to replicate with original artwork, and a volunteer artist could do something similar to the more complicated ones. I still haven't figured out how to manage distribution, both giveaway and sales, though I would suppose that would depend on what kind of funding I could get from pure donation. I think stickers are a great message for spreading a simple message like this, and are a piece of cake to produce and distribute in the thousands.

Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?

Personally, I would put stick those things all over the place in my city, with respect, of course, to peoples property. What I don't like is the fact that I would have to buy them. If a package was given to me, I'd be more than happy to spread them but they would definitely be at the very bottom of my purchase list like cheap genetics and shitty polish food. lol just my 2 cents.

Well unless I find a benefactor it would be self funded. I'd prefer to sell bulk packs to dispensaries for them to hand out or something. Stickers and envelopes cost money, and I'm just a college student, I can't just dump money into this project out of the kindness of my heart. Maybe I'll email NORML about it...

Are you in California? I was thinking that funding a Cannabis Congress through bumper stickers and email for 2016 elections year could get us the votes we need. I don't have faith in the fools who are running the same tired Commerce first crap. legalize for the people first in 2016!
Bumper stickers are good ways to get folks active if they have to buy a pack for x amount and sell them for x+y amount such as $10 per sticker and the can sell them for $20.
That way folks will sell them and get them out.

Now if we are a non profit I assume we can fund raise in this light! And folks who buy packs of 200 stand to make 100% profit on their efforts.. We may get folks who live to spread the word.

We would need a PR campaign and web site.
The goal is to get noticed by November 2015 so we can sponsor an initiative in 2016 since we will be failing again in 2012 with 2014 another jerk off by libertarians with their so called legalization crap.

Wow ernst, you're really motivated! I'm not looking to initiate a movement, but spread positive and affirming messages throughout society to plant positive seeds of thought in people's minds. Ive already thought up a couple graphics that could equate marijuana with wine in a quick and easy message. I've also got my own business which is my real focus, I wouldn't want to start another big project.

I put some queries in with my sticker guy for a few designs in various quantities in sizes around 3 x 3" depending on the ratio of the artwork. It will be interesting to see how cheap some of these stickers can be had for.

1 sticker I just made that's missing from that lineup that can raise ALOT of awareness:

WHO Reports Shows 2.5 Million People Die of Alcohol-Related Deaths EVERY YEAR
My source: http://stopalcoholdeaths.com/2011/02/reports-shows-25-million-people-die-alcoholrelated-deaths/

This and the sticker with the leaf that says "jobs" are both powerful messages IMO. Not so much the leaf with the blood on it. That creates a negative metal association. In advertising you have to take into account that 9/10 don't care what you're saying and won't read it, but the image is drilled into your subconscious involuntarily. So the message 9/10 people will get out of that is a subconscious association of cannabis and blood. Bad news.

Well it's a plan. Greed is good it has been said so we have to light the fire of greed under the butts of our people. If ya, can sell stickers and raise a couple of million dollars by 2016 what can it hurt. I mean we have folks out here collecting recycling what if they could make money buy selling bumper stickers? Might actually raise enough by 2016 to get a liberal leagelization initiative on the ballot. If we have to wait for someone to do it for us we (are) will wait a long time.

sounds like a neat idea. I would put some up around town if given to me. Although there is a fine line between spreading the message and inforcing a stereo type, Ads and graphity.
