This is only a suggestion and I'm open to better ones. We currently have 9 states with pending medical marijuana legislation, and 3 additional states with bills in committee that have yet to be finalized. I realize that once a state has mmj laws on the books, that the state is added as a sub forum. This keeps the conversations regarding mmj, relevant to each state.
Rather than creating sub forums for pending states, how about just one for all pending states? I think this could be an important resource for those looking to get involved or forming action committees or contacting their officials. I believe these conversations are better had in a dedicated sub forum, for the purpose of organization.
My state is finally going to take up this issue and put it up in front of the voters for the general 2012 election. I'm signed up on NORML's action list and would love a dedicated sub forum to post events and such. While i know this comes close to filing under MMJ News sub folder, I feel that planning action and asking for involvement is a bit different from actual MMJ news.
Any other feelings on this? If the 12 states all go the way of MMJ, that will be about 55% of the Union allowing MMJ!
