Can you get rid of warm air through the toilet?

I have heard that this works, I have really bad condensation and am hoping this will solve it. I have emptied the water from the toilet pan with a sponge and have aimed the ducting down the toilet.

Please let me know if you have any experience with toilet venting.. good or bad.

I'm pretty sure it's called venting through your plumbing. So find where your plumbing is connected to the toilet and connect it to a junction or the like.

I don't think what you have done is going to do anything to get rid of the exhaust

are you talking about venting to the plumbing stack? the part that allows air to the sewage to allow toilets and drains to drain quickly?

I am hoping it ends up in the plumbing stack. i have just taken the water from the toilet and put the ducting down the toilet. will this be the same as going in through the pipes?

Creative for sure, is their any smell coming from the drain or did you seal around the exhaust pretty good. It could create a funky smell when the fans aren't on with the gasses seeking back up your venting. I know the methane gasses will look for the closes place to escape and when your fans are off you just made a closer place than the roof. If you have ever removed a toilet you will understand the aroma that will follow. This smell is 1 reason there are traps in conjunction with drains. The water in the trap traps the gasses in.

Thank you Jimmer. will have to look for an alternate solution, it has not happened yet but what you said sounds spot on.

Conclusion - I had run the toilet vent system for 4 days with great results, then the inevitable happened - i could taste the methane in the air.... REALLY BAD IDEA.

Don't light a match, youll blow your balls off when you go to the toilet.
