Can You Graft Female Clones On A Male Plant?

If I graft a variety of female clones (scion) onto a male stem (rootstock) will it work fine in veg?

I would ideally keep a single mother with 20+ strains to clone from but I would rather utilize an extra male than a female to test with.

I understand I will have to remove growth from the rootstock, but it's in a veg room so pollination isn't an issue.

yes. you can do this, shouldnt have any troubles from it being male.

dont remove all of the rootstock foliage untill the graft takes or itll delay everything.

i suggest a wedge shaped graft. u know, one cut in above branching site, and a carefull delicate cut down to maximize capilary surface.

Its actually been done, they're is a youtube video on it, but i think they used a female base. I'm not sure what issues, if any that would cause. may not at all, don't think it will...but no way of knowing honestly...

I will make sure to post pictures when I get the clones :)

I decided to start with a female clone, that way I can allow one branch to develop from it and have another strain ready to go whenever.
