Can you modify a grow tent height

so from what i see most grow tents frames are constructed from metal pole pieces that insert into pvc elbows. if it is a matter of 5 inches to clear a roof could one just cut the poles and let the tent sag a bit on the sides? or do other problems occur.

u will need to tighten the fabric somehow as your extraction will pull the sides of the tent in reducing your space,just tuck it under the bottom of the frame neatly somehow
