can you stunt your plants growth if they are nearing the lights?

I am using the aerogarden veggie pro, and no additional lighting. I am 1.5 weeks into flowering and I dont even know the sex yet but my plants are almost 2 feet tall! I think I can only move it up one more notch until I cant anymore. I dont have any additional lighting!!

IS THERE ANY WAY TO STUNT MY PLANTS GROWTH DURING FLOWERING STAGE?

thanks :) smoke on!!:joint:

yes ur gonna have to raise the lights or lower the unit so the lights are further apart. i would go to lowes or home depot and get the light fixture that has a clamp and a sheild you can hang pretty much anywhere and they are good and fit cfls. if your plants get too close they will start burning

If your plants are twenty four inches tall that's pretty much the limit with our system. Cervantes recommends bending them tying them down and spreading out the limbs when height is an issue. You might want to check out his book. I've only had to do it once but it worked great. He has a lot of good ideas.

The AeroGarden Hood is detachable from the main AeroGarden Unit.

Unplug the AeroGarden Light hood from the main unit via the Figure 8 plug (Found on the bottom side, back of the hood). Once unplugged, look at the rear of the Hood; you will see an indentation. Use a flat surface like a dime or a screwdriver and push the tab in, thus releasing the hood from the neck/stem.

NOTE: You need to buy a Figure 8 power cord from (example. Radio Shack)

Once removed, you can either (dependant on model as they vary in relation to this step) 1) Drill 4 small holes into the outer casing of the hood and attach thin chains long enough for you to adjust. After which you can suspend the hood from a higher level. 2) Devise a means to suspend the hood without drilling 4 holes in it. (I've tried alot of tape wrapped out on the outer sides then twisting as it got to the top, creating a rope of twisted tape. I then used chains to suspend that hood.)

WARNING: It did fall. Twice! This is why I've since opted for an 120W LED.. Was too worried about the hood falling and starting a fire

Krozone: Why go to a 120 watt LED lamp when A/G claims theirs combined only draw the equivalent of a single sixty watt incandescent bulb? That and trying to grow tall strains in and A/G is crazy.

As mentioned, I was concerned about the potential for the hood to fall. I only use the AeroGarden now as my reservoir. The LED is thus far working far better then the AeroGarden hood, put's off much less heat as well. (The LED has 3 built in fans)
In his case, being he's been using it; suspending the hood somehow would be his only option. (Which is what I assume the majority of AG growers do). I agree it's not the best suited to grow MJ due to the lighting setup.
