I am going to start my 1st 12/12 grow. I was curious can you take clones from a 12/12 plant? If so when is the best time to take them?

take the bottom branches which have the newest hormones and root faster.

sometimes even when your plant is in flower the bottom branches havent staggered yet and there is little difference from a vegging plant. (look wise)

about half my clones survived from a flowering plant at 2 weeks flower.

I used to take clones from my plants when they were 10 days into flower or less. I did notice effects on the donor plants though, they would slow down and not get that big burst of growing you usually see in the first 2-3 weeks of flower and i didnt take many clones off of the donor plants, 3 at the max per plant. I generally take clones 1 week before I go into 12/12. This works for me but might not work for everyone. Good luck.

its actualy better to take them off the top branches it opens up the canopy for more light to reach the lower branches ive taken clones 3wks into flower wth no ill affects alot of people trim there bottom branches cuz they dont usualy produce much but u can take thoses branches even after buds hav formed and root them and they will keep budding i hav 2 rite now like this and they're making 1 nice big cola i use to throw them out not anymore !

If it is a 12/12 from seed grow, I say you need to take the cuttings before the 21st day of your grow. Cannabis will veg itself during the 12/12 process if it hasnt already. You can take your clones whenever you want to technically but I think its best to take them during the veg stage

best time to take clones from flowering plants is about 20-25 days flowering, you want a BUD. than when it revegges the bud turns into new growth. and the plant grows in to a awsome bush

Taking flowered clones is the way to go if you ask me, but it depends on your growing style. Clones taken from a flowering plant take longer to root, and from my experience it doesn't matter from where you take them. One thing I will say is that clones taken while flowering around days 12-20 will root well and will branch like crazy. For some reason flowered clones are more apt to branch more... Hope this helps.
