Can you use an aluminum transmission radiator as a chiller

Just trying to think of a way to make a cheap chiller for my rdwc if I need to

No reason it shouldn't, just clean the fk outa it. Need a pump capable of 5psi....Seperate cooling system is sweet!

If I was to do it I wouldn't get a used one I'd buying brand new one for under 60 bucks and figure out a way to make a fan that pulls the heat out of it like on a car

I design cooling systems for hydraulic equipment. 12v fans are cheap.

Swamp coolers work,cover your res, fan on one end vent on the other.

if you are at the phase where you might need one in the future, check on craigslis for a used aquarium chiller. for that much money, you should be able to find a used one given that you don't need one ASAP. we have stores in denver that sell nothing but used hydro equip for cheap.
