can you use whtie plastic garbage bags to build a greenhouse?

i wanna transfer my 3 week old palnt outside but here in new jersey we still have some cold nights and days. if i use white garbage bags could i buidl a small greenhouse over my plant? i have no choice but to move the plant outdoors unfortunatly.. i just wanna make sure the cold air wont harm it because its very very healthy.

I wouldn't use nontransparent plastic if i were you...it will reflect a bunch of light that would otherwise be used by the plant. better go with thick, clear plastic...

My friend MacGruber did this...lol... All he used were garbage bags, a couple of paper clips, a stalk of celery, and a stick of Wrigley's Spearmint gum...lol...

i cant seem to locate the name of the product, however, we did a renovation on an apartment complex and the insulation crew used this nice woven mesh blanket on the interior walls, then blew insulation into the cavity (before the sheetrock went up)

any ways they gave us a partial roll, and my buddy built a greenhouse and we used that stuff for the front and back walls. I am convinced it would be fine to do the whole thing. it is semi transparent, cloth like, very durable, it had survived outside for two summers, and a winter with no signs of degradation yet. it would prevent heavy rains & wind from destroying the plants, but yet still allow water to go through it.

might not be the best for privacy, but it would be a good covering. almost like row cover for farming, but in 9' tall rolls..
