I have 5 clones still, they're all in a sunny window and solo cups, there growing impressively fast though. I was away for a day and there all going crazy, every one of them has a whole new set of leaves after just the one day I was away. It snowed today so I want to wait to put them outside full time, but I am running out of space in the window... I bring them onto the deck in the daytime for a couple of hours but their growth I think is really impressive considering they don't have optimal lighting at all and they're only in solo cups. Last year I was using a 400w CFL homemade grow lamp and they didn't grow anywhere near this fast.. I think I've got some good genes here lol too bad I dont know what it is... it's an indica is all I know sadly

Have any of you had issues with budworms this far north? If they will be a problem I want to be prepared but I have also heard they don't bug plants this far north because butterflies only lay their eggs in like June and july around here bc it gets too cold for the caterpillars later in the season? Do any of you use BT on your plants? And if u don't do u have any problems with budworms?

I use neem and essential oil and didn't had any bud worm your main problem will be p.m. and mold

It is easy to kill ALL THE SLUGS by using beer put a small coffe cup in a small hole even to the top of the ground about 1-2 feet from your plants and fill the cup with beer that will drown them and kill them.ky

grow strait in the ground and you will pull lots moor weight and not need to spend your money on pots.spend your money on good dirt.ky

My two female photos and my 5 autos are outside for the season. If any of you have a dollarama near by they have shallow 15 gallon smart pots for 3 dollars every year while supplies last. I sewed two together and cut a hole in the top and they now hold 40-45 gallons.

I grew them in the ground for years but I'm done with that until it becomes legal. Growing illegally in a sub-division and short growing season, last few years I'm liking the pots for being able to move them if needed A couple of years back I had to finish them in my garage because of weather, couldn't have done that if I had them in the ground. It's not a bad option.

Ontario has been the same, we had snow up in Collingwood last week and finally looks like it's breaking here, may get them out this weekend.

I bought mine too I was like are they for real!!? Solid stuff too

You can buy used plastic pots from most nurseries. {I have even got truckloads of them for free} You can also make fabric pots from a roll of landscape fabric. Each is very economical.

Farther west it has been in the 30s for a couple weeks now it's cold as hell all my plants died lol I thought summer was here guess not

I can't grow in the ground. I've said that before, there is really solid rock a few inches under the dirt, and there aren't any places that aren't like that. The only place I have in the ground I had to make it myself. There was a really rotten tree uprooted, and I dug into the decayed roots that had broken up the rocks and then the roots later turned to dirt so it was good there. But that spot is like one in a thousand to find, so I need to use pots..

I'm putting mine out this weekend hopefully. Still a tad too chilly at night on the west coast. Already pulled one male. Grew like crazy and sexed out super quick. 1 down out of ten.
My veggie garden is coming in nicely. Camouflage status achieved. All systems go.

My clones are doig fantastic! They are so bushy and almost a foot tall except the midget.. I think one of them is stunted, it's so small and all of its leaves don't get very big. It looks like a dwarf compared to the others.
I need to transplant them soon. Solo cups are probably getting too small, but I can't transplant until I get them to my grow site or they will be way too hard to bring all the way out there.. but I'm gonna get on it soon, hopefully this weekend. I hope they can hang on that long, I feel like they must be getting cramped... my seedling is in a 10oz clear plastic cup Andi can see the roots at the bottom so I imagine the clones that are 10x the size of the seedling aren't liking the tiny space much longer but I just hope they can hold on a bit longer.

I was thinking this weekend too I planted 10 out last month because of the warm temps but they all died lol

If you have all rock you can fill a old tire with some good dirt and fire your plant inside,Works great on the East Coast!

Hey everyone. Haven't posted in awhile but here's an update on the grow

My seedling in the plastic cup died.. not sure why I had it under a CFL 100W light turn it on in the morning and off when I went to bed. It was in Coco / dirt mix.

My 5 clones are getting big. They were in XL slushie containers and the wind blew one off the deck.. it snapped off above the first node and I thought it was dead for sure, but nope it took that one node it had and it's now the main stalk. probably stunted it a bit but I'm sure by harvest it'll be fine.
I FIMMed one of the plants, and topped another, and left one the way it is. The 4th plant is fucked in the head because it is still 100% flowering yet today is literally the longest day of the year so I really don't get it (you know the midget plant? Ya that's this girl). And the last plant is the one that snapped off..

I brought them to their final growing spot last night, and got up early to bring them to my patch. the plant that was fimmed is doing the best, it has like 7 branches and 4 nodes coming out the top. Since this was the biggest I put it into the giant hole I dug and added 2 bags of composted manure and a bit of promix. I've got big hopes for this one

The topped plant is in a 5gal bucket with composted manure and the rest of the promix. It's recovered from the topping and has 2 new tops ontop.
The other 3 are still in slushie cups cus I don't have enough buckets and cus I don't wanna transplant the one that's flowering bc I don't wanna screw it up.. I'm hoping to harvest it twice this year well see how that goes lol

All plants have been in ground/pots/bags for atleast a week now. Got some good new growth going. The one plant that snapped off? It has pretty much caught up with just its one branch so that impressed me.

I went back there this morning and found my plants had been nibbled on. Also saw fresh eaten poplar sprouts fallen from above.. I look up and see the culprit, a porcupine. Some of you may be offended by this but for that I'm sorry, but I have alot on the line for a porcupine to eat my plants and then go chew on my brake lines after. Here they are pests.
So I ran to get my compound. Went back it was still there so I shot it out of the tree.
It had only chewed off a few fan leaves so my plants will probably be ok, and they'll be safe now, I still might put wire around them collected to a 12V battery for any thing that wants to keep chewing. No food for them in my garden.
