Canadian outdoor grow, how do I start flowering?

I would like to grow a few plants outside for the purpose of seed generation and also to take a stab at growing one of these ever so large plants I always see in pictures, I have growin indoors a few time with great success, so I hoping i can take what i know from that and apply it to the great outdoors, I will be starting my plants from clones taken in early april.

I need so help from the experienced outdoors men

#1 when you transplant to the outdoors do you need to acclimatize the plant in some way? ie match light cycle to the same schedule, temp, ph etc....

#2 my growing season is from the end of may to late september, should I be putting my plants right into flower? with the extended hours of light I believe it will take alot longer to flower and I don't have much time

#3 how do I initiate flowering with no change in the light cycle? I don't have an auto strain, can I kick into flowering with nute change alone? if so whats the proper process to do this? should i do it before i put them outside?

#4 I can go with trainwreck, ww x sweet tooth or sour diesel x sweet thooth, b.c genetics for the x breeds and both flower indoors in around 55 days give or take. trainwreck on the other hand I have not finished yet but am told 8 weeks. any opinions on which of these should not go outside for any reason? mold, temp, or bugs etc..

I guess for now I will see what i get for responses and leave it at that, sorry if these questions are repetitive from other posts but i just could not find the info I was looking for.:wall: please feel free to post anythings I have not touched on that needs to be addressed:roll:

Cheers for now and i will up date with some pic as the process goes on.

at least youll be able to start your clones inside... that will help greatly.
Im in MI so my conditions are quite similar.....

first, out of the strains youve named, id go with the ww x st or TW. ive got a TW cross for this year as well.
my biggest concern with the sour diesel is the sativa dominance. but sweet tooth being a BC strain might make it a decent cross for outdoor.

second, youre gonna want to harden off your plants to get them used to being outdoors. (over the course of a week or so) put your plants outside during mid dayish for a couple hours and bring them in. add hours they are outside each day for the week. by the end of the week you should be able to transplant without problems....you are going to still want to watch water and nut. pH and what not.

im gonna try to cover the next two now......
with the short grow season your best bet is to plant in 5 gallon buckets. you should be able to veg outdoors for at least the month of june, then force flower.
which is what i do with a few plants outdoor for an early crop. i have a shed which works perfect..... you just have to put your plants in a dark place (shed) for twelve hours a day.... i give them twelve hours from about sunrise, then put them in the shed for the last few hours of day light, and bring them back out at night for the next morning.

i hope this helps.... little high... but it made sence when i was typing it.

awsome thanks !!! + rep
So, I don't have the luxury of a shed to move the plants in and out of, so li will run this by you! what if i were to plant on a hill beside a lareg evergreen tree facing east,

#1 this would give me shade at the later hour of the day, I know that plants are a sensative to light asthe human eye but i will put that out there?

#2 what if i was to cover the plants for an extended period say 8 hours let the flower hormones build, flush for 48 hours prior to anme hit the plant with flowering nute just before i let the light back to the ladys? just an idea.

#3 if shes floweing before she goes out then i can keep the nute the same and she will bud out all summer? or will see reveg?

Thanks again for you help!!!

Kief chief thanks for stopping buy and the help. For the time question thing i live in a location where the frost comes out of the ground early may and tempuratures can dip below 0 untill the end of the mounth, so you don't want to put your garden in untill the temps look good. on the filp side we see snow and frost sometimes by the end of september. I want to ge it right and leave as little up to good olmother nature as possible, If tahts possible

No need to force flowering the natural light will do it. when your looking for seeds they usaully say harvest mid sept or beginning of oct.
