Marc had always been arrested for money and not the movement. Just like in the 80s when he was busted for selling body count cds. He was just jumping the gun so they could become the biggest player in the market, seems like ive seen this before "cough,cough lps".

Marc also helped overturn it being illegal to open a store on Sundays in Ontario(yes, this actually was a thing) during his days with the Freedom Party by opening in defiance of the law. Overturning that law helped his bottom line, does that justify that law or prohibition? Absolutely not. And that's not mentioning his court challenge in 1994 to overturn the ban on high times and related literature.

Hate the guy if you want, but there's no denying his accomplishments, even outside of selling seeds.

His activism is a byproduct of his main goal, which is making a fuckload of cash.

But whatever, he's served a purpose. You can look at him as a saint but reality is something else.

He knew exactly what would happen and he did it regardless. He's just trying to make more money.

Once pot is legal and even if perfectly legal he will fight for another cause.
And he'll have the money to back him..

This is exactly the point. This is yet another false dichotomy, if you don't operate with no profit then you must be just in it for the money.

Marc looks out for Marc, and he also looks out for the pot movement. He did 5 years in the states, and is looking at going back to jail (and not being able to talk to his wife) as a result of opening the dispensaries in Montreal.

Much criticism is made by people not aware of Marc and CC's track record in activism, so I place very little value on comments that the Emeries are only doing what they do for profit's sake.
