i can feel warm air coming out but temp still hovers at 90+ . i cut two 2" x 4" holes near the bottom on two sides and i can feel the air being sucked in. but the temp is still high. no leaks i've gone over it a million times looking for leaks.

yes the exaust is in the right pos.

i'm ready to get started except for this heat issue....how can i get down 5degrees ?

thanks,
cheney

Well depending where you are at, geographically, you may just be going through a heat wave at the moment and that could kick up your heat. If thats not the issue, I suggest installing another exhaust.
If it is a heatwave, then a quick, cheap home fix is to freeze a 2gallon jug of water and then put it in front of your fan, this will cool things down a bit, but it will also raise your humidity some.

....outside the growbox that is. i added a small pc fan on bottom blowing in and i'm going to run the lights at night when it's cooler. in the daytime with the lights off it's in the mid 80's.

thanx

Screw PC fans. I found they don't move enough air. Go for the desk fans. You will have to either take the assembly out and build it into the box, or somehow rig it so it sucks the hot air out from the top and blows it out. Put the intake at the bottom (coolest air).

ya man no shit this pc fan sucks balls. i'm goin to walmart for a small cheap fan.
A cheap clip on fan from the grocery store isle will do the trick, aimed up through the canopy toward the lights, it will be warm but with airflow the plants will be less affected. I run my lights at night also.....and I took a little wattage out. Dunno which bulbs you are using, but less bulbs make less heat for the grow space. A HPS guy has to make his space fit his one bulb. Chances are if it is too hot for multiple CFLs, you can remove one or two. I had a little over 400 in my cab and dropped down to 360 to lower my temps. I am ready to harvest this weekend...check out my grow here in Indoor CFL.:leaf::eyesmoke:

felllas n opps don't mean to leave out the ladies,

i'm using 2 x 42w 6500k , 2 x 42w 2700k , 2 x 23 6500k , 2 x 23 2700k . lowryder first grow from sannie , i thought that it would be a little easier and the reason for the mixed bulbs. seeds are on top of the fridge right now. pots are filled w/ FF n ready to go.

flat white in the tub....very big tub also 49gal.....looks like a bathtub for 'beetlejuice' (sorry thats for the ol' school howard stern fans) a small bathtub that is 4' x 2' .

i got a bathroom exaust on top...i thought that would be overkill!!!!! i'm going to walmart manyana and find something.

my set-up is'nt perfect but how many are ? it seems there's always something you could do better....and that's the fun. at some point though you HAVE TO START...so i'm going for it. FUCK-IT LETS ROCK N ROLL RIU!!!!
