Strain 1, harvested 6/23, finished drying 6/27, first readings were around 72% so I left out every 12 hours until under 70% and every couple days after i've been leaving the bud out for 4-8hours. Well its 3 weeks later and the humidity is still like 68% and im worried about mold issues. Nothing visible that I can see.

Strain 2, harvested 6/25, finished drying 6/29, first readings were around 70%. Same story, managed to get it down to 66% though.

Strain 3, harvested 7/3, finished drying 7/12, came up 62% first 24 hours in jar. Now its reading like 68%. Left sugar leaves on and shut off ventilation, reason it dried so much longer.

All the buds feel dry to the touch, not like crispy falling apart dry, but dry enough.

Problems I might be having is im drying in a basement with like 70% RH. I moved a dehumidifier in my room where the bud is kept to keep it at 50% and gonna take the buds out and put them on a paper plate for drying.

Hopefully I dont run into mold issues, im always opening jars to grab some smoke and moving around buds but I admit I didn't open Strain#1 for a few days because of smoking #2.

Well if the RH is 65+ it only makes sense that anything drying will probably not go much below that RH. Ya dehumidifier will help, get some Western Hygrometers and dump em out for a period of time in cardboard box, or screen. Just watch them as they can dry too much very quickly, but you need to get it down to 40-50 then let the insides sweat in jars, now they are 60-70% RH and the air is the same so when you burp it doesn't drop enough to get em to where you want them.

I like mine around 55-60 for a while as they burn nicely and have a nice thick smoke that is pretty flavorful, and after some getting some smokes its pretty much down to 55 or so for extended periods.

Just smell, if its hay or weed smell you are good, if its ammonia like smell its bad.
