Carbon/Fan Question

I'll be placing my order tomorrow and would just like to make sure my Carbon Filter will do the trick

I am planning on purchasing a Hydro Hut Carbon Filter - Goblin with a 400cfm Hydrofarm Active Air Inline Fan.

The carbon filter is rated for 285-435 cfm. I just want to be reasurred this filter will take out the stink.

I understand it is not the best but as long as I get 6months stank free its worth it.

My only other option is the Phat 375cfm Carbon Filter, which I don''t believe will do the trick. If I were to upgrade to a larger size it would cost 70$ extra shipping, which is not in the budget.

It all depends on your grow setup. If you could provide more info, people would be able to better assess your situation.

4x4 Darkroom DR120 II, 400cfm 6" Hydrofarm Active Air Inline Fan, Hydro Hut Goblin Carbon Filter. Should be getting an Air Cooled hood soon also. Anyone have experience with the Silver Star (22"x22") ?

So will my Fan/Filter setup take out the stink? Hopefully someone who may have experience with Hydro Hut's Goblin Carbon Filter.

That carbon filter will definitely take care of your odor. My buddy and I run a Secret Jardin 3'x3'x'6 DR100L with a 400w MH/HPS air cooled reflector, a 435cfm Valueline fan for heat extraction and a 4" Carbonaire Carbon Filter which effectively eliminates odor for an 8'x'8'x8' room. You ain't got a problem. As for your reflector, don't sweat it much, but if you wanna get your light as close to your plants tops, definitely get an air cooled. I have the 4" hydrofarm reflector which is probably the most basic and we were able to place it 6-8" from the tops of the buds no problems.

PS: You will know that your carbon filter ain't working when your tent is all zipped up and you can smell your bud. These things really do work wonders. I will rep ONA if you need more stank proof odor goodness.

Yeap, had one and did'n't work for me (too hot in a small space). Switched it for a cooltube + diff from a guy with bigger grow space.
As far as I'm concerned, the cooltube does a better job for me. Better cooling by a smoother air flow, no difference on light diffusion and way cheaper than the Silver Star. I'm sure people have different opinions, but that's my case...
