carbon scrubber intrigue

wanna start a 40x40x120 grow room with 1 plant.would a carbon air scrubber do the work and ,if so ,what type particularely do i need?The thing is i cannot evacuate to the outside so would it smell if the air would be filtered in the room and not outside?

Carbon air filters work.
Is it worth it for 1 plant?
I don't think so.

Just take a 5 gallon bucket.
Fill it half way with water. Mix in some laundry detergent.
Then cut a 4 inch hole on the lid.
Attach a computer fan to the lid.
Keep it running all the time you won't smell anything.
A couple times a week, change the water.

This is what I did, before I bought a carbon air filter.
 
the whole idea of a carbon scrubber is to force the air thru it . the scrubbers you see most common are associated with cabinet/stealth grows -if your dimensions are in feet rather than inches you need a whole other strategy . post back with more details it's too vague right now to help .
