Well here is my issue:

I have overages with my 12 plants and my setup can only really handle 12 plants. The thing is, I only get maybe 1-2 oz per month overage. Do people exist that only need maybe 1-2 oz per month? I would love to become a caregiver, but would feel shitty If I ended up not having enough meds for another person.

Ever think about just selling your overages to a despencery ?
Could pay for your lights and monthly nutes without dealing with anyone else..

In my area patients recive 1 oz per month and can get ore at wholesale prices.
My patience recive 2 oz's and some mediables. Any more is sold to them at wholesale prices.

But I treat my patience right.
I do for them what I would want another to do for me.

A dispensary did just open up near where I live, but I am not sure about how they go about getting meds. It sounded like one of those member only type places.

The free med thing is why I am kinda worried about it. I don't have room to grow extra plants so it would be limited by how much I can produce with just 12 plants.

What are your wholesale prices? I haven't figured mine out yet.

Op, just about every place has a membership. They are usually $20 bucks a year, and many will wave the fee if you are a "vendor" selling them your overages.

Wholesale price is really an area thing.
In my area I get:
$325 for unbelievable product.
$300 for top shelf high quality.
$275 for good shit.
And so on.
Some will buy the nastiest shit you could have for pennies and then use it for medables and hash.

Trimming/shake **
$100 and ounce
$150 an ounce for just trimmings.

**(from top shelf and unbelievable harvests)

Clones:

$5 to $15 bucks each

That $25 to $30 gram is a $325 wholesale ounce.
That $15 to $20 gram is a $300 wholesale ounce.

3 things that set top shelf and high quality above the rest.

Bag appeal: How well it's trimmed along with the natural shapes and color of the strain.
Smell: How well the smell matches the strain.
Taste: Was it cured properly and does the taste match the strain.
(bubble gum should smell and taste like bubble gum if it was grown and cured properly)

3. things to always remember so you have an advantage:

1.Grow something no one else is growing, set the trend rather then follow it. "If you're smoking it and want to grow some, everybody's already growing it.

2. Never go in to sell overages "needing the money".

3. Have it appraised: Stop by several shops and ask what they think of it, and what they'd give for it.
(why sell for $250 if the other guy will give you $275 or $300)
Caution: Be prepared to have your ego shattered by shop appraisals.
Don't take it personal, it's not.

i have one patient that gets just an oz every month for 250. the lcoal disp. are paying 200-250/oz for good homegrown. i get more satisfaction passing it along to my patients or another caregiver who has needy patients...but thats just me.

Let me get this right, you get their 12 plants and any overages they produce and yet you "sell" your patient their meds for 250 an ounce ?

But no shit tough...

I already have 5 pounds of butter and more cookies than I can shake a stick at :( The tincture thing seems viable, but the drinks one I am really interested in, I will have to do some more research.

Overall, it would be great because If I should 1, maybe 2 oz a month, I could make it through summer without having to get another job.

Also, patient to patient transfers. Am I honestly allowed to sell to other medical patients? I know they can def buy from me, but would I be protected? I usually religiously only give meds away free, I won't let people pay me for it.

Patient to Patient transfers are a big gray area. Maybe if you set out a bowl with a sign saying "Jankedyjoe's Tips" and give out a free ounce for every $300 tip...LOL.

....It's only "potentially" illegal if you get caught!
