I have a small grow room. There is indoor outdoor carpet on the floor
of my grow room. Right now i have a mite problem. I was told i should
rip up the carpet before my next grow. Does anyone out there have
carpet and if so is there something you can treat the carpet with like
flea and tick powder ?? Or is it better to rip up the carpet ??

I'll tell ya what I did. Get the Ortho Max, clear the room of all plants and growing equipment (clean equipment) and spray the fuck out of your grow room. :cuss: Then get some Neem oil and mix it according to the directions 4 tspns of neem oil to 1 tspn of Organic and Enviornmentally safe dish soap as an emulsifier per gallon and spray your plants once a week for 2 months, as well as watering them with the neem oil every week, I still use neem oil as a preventitive now and don't have bug 1...It works from the inside so leaf munchers and weed vampires will leave it alone (read up on neem oil on google) it's all natural and organic so it will work with an organic grow or with chemical nutes...It does smell a little weird but nothing too bad and it works BUT you have to keep appling it weekly.
I guarantee if you use this, it will solve your problems...good luck and welcome to RIU

No need to rip up the carpet; just nuke the carpet, but you gotta do the walls too. I would get one of those pest "bombs" and set it off in the room; that will kill spiders, roaches, mites, fleas, lobsters, pigeons, goldfish, etc.

Neem works well be careful in flower it will burn off you buds hairs and coats the bud in oils that are toxic to humans when smoked. I would not neem if you are more than a couple of weeks into flower.

Taking out the carpet will take you about 5-10 minutes and you won't have to worry about it again. If you get mites again you will always be wondering if it was that stinking carpet.

I personally do not like carpet in the growing area. It ends up getting wet, the padding holds water, etc. It is just not good imo.

Azatrol. This shit works like nothing else. Just spray 1 time a week and youll never see another mite again.
