Castle Guerrilla V3: Marijuana Is Not Addictive, Growing Marijuana Is

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by my thread.

I've very excited to invite you to check out my space and work. I just got this really cool space to work with and I just got some beautiful new ladies, so I think this is going to be a great time.

I'm a hydroponics gardener who loves DWCs. This grow is going to be 12 plants in DWCs under 6k lighting.

I feel about marijuana growing like Bob Ross feels about painting. It's literally all good and we don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents. And no matter how bad you fuck up, you still get to smoke the results.

So here's my new space.

It's a 16x11 room that I've put 6 x 1000w lights in with bars and chain. One thing I'd like to point out to other growers right at the start. At the V2 Castle, I was using Apollo ballasts which seemed to interfere with the satellite transmissions of everyone in the county. Here at V3 after a lot of research, I upgraded to these Galaxy ballasts and they're completely quiet. I can sit in my driveway and listen to AM radio with no problem.

I've also decided to go for a SCROG set up since I've never tried SCROGing before and at the least it'll support my ladies who I've always had stability problems with due to size.

This is the thing I'm most excited about. Finally decided to invest and buy a reverse osmosis system. I'm told these are arguably the best thing a hydro grower can buy and I'm excited to finally have one. This is a 300 gallon per day model that was relatively easy to set up.

Here you can see how I have it set up with a cool little work sink I bought at Home DePot for like $100 and was fortunate to already have the hookups in my building. You can see the RO System is feeding into a 60 gallon rain barrel which is the main res for everything going on here. This entire system is fucking awesome and probably the best thing about V3.

Here you can see I'm using a Pondmaster AP-100 which to my knowledge is the most powerful air pump out there. I really love these Pondmasters, they're great. There's nothing better in the world than sound of a hydrofarm bubbling.

Day 14.

Here's a panoramic pic of the room.

I think the CalMag+ is helping the nute deficiency. Here's a pic of that ATF plant from before left and the same plant six days ago before CalMag+.

Here's my current leader of the pack.

Here's the cool kids in the back of the class.

Here's the nutes I'm using in veg so far. Going to hit the kids with that Sugar Peak for the first time probably Monday or Tuesday.

Went into flowering two days ago.

Already the plants seem to be blooming and growing more complicated flowering leaves. I'm very curious to see the differences in quality between this one and previous grows as so much new knowledge and technique has gone into this one.

I'm going to switch out the MH bulbs in a week and then switch to flowering nutes in two weeks. I'm going to take clones in a few days to make sure I keep the genetics around of each strain I have out there.

This was kind of a haphazard dialing in grow working with several different strains at various ages but I'm stoked to be able to hopefully keep some nice mothers in the future.

Three big things I need to remember for the future.

- Don't Overnute - Starting off with bad nutes in the beginning caused a bad nute lockout that screwed up a few weeks of veg for me. I need fresh nutes. I need to be sure to use only one base and not to overfeed.

- Feed according to age - My younger plants really had difficulty adjusting to the early screw ups. I need to make sure the younger plants are getting nutes adjusted to them and make up more than one batch of vegging nutes.

- Roots are the most important part of the grow - I've never had such healthy roots before. A couple of plants have absolutely exploded with photo worthy white beautiful roots. I've always had difficulties with root health in the past. But doing a res change about every two weeks and using Great White really seems to have made them explode. And no coincidence the plants with the healthy root explosions are blowing up in the room where the plants with roots that aren't as happy are having some problems. I need to focus on keeping the roots as healthy as happy as possible.

That's pretty much it for now. Just wanted to record my thoughts at the moment.
