catapillar eggs/insect eggs

Is there anything that is usable on marijuana plants that will destroy the eggs, if the eggs get sprayed?
Just another guy trying to get by and grow his own.

If it's organic and OK for vigi's it should be OK for smoke.

Nothing you want to spray on them this far into flower. Gotta manually pick/control. Usually too late when u find one buried in ur bud, starting a bit of rot maybe. I hate those little bastards! If you didn't care about chemicals possibly harming whoever consumes buds I'm sure a pyrethrum (sp?) Extract of some type should kill them. There are many brands made of this powerful plant extract. Can even buy at home depot. However I don't recommend you do this. If you do, I hope you are the only one to smoke it. Not worth it. Earlier in veg. Ok

Most people use BT for bud worms. It's safe up til the day of harvest. Not a poison, it kills them by making it where they can't eat.

Moths seem to like to lay eggs on large lower leaves, sometimes on the underside, so make sure you spray the lower part of the plant with BT and get up underneath

ive come to the conclusion that BT and monterrey spinnosad work. i tried neem and never did it for me.

Ok i have been spraying neem and bt thru out the grow cycle, i have not seen any catapillars or any bugs but what i do see are the catapillar eggs, here and there. My question does the bt stop the egg or larvea from hatching. Also leaves are curling, is this a sign it needs to be harvested? Or what. It's starting to get cool at night.

Neem is good in veg as a preventative. Do not spray after 2nd week of flower. The smell will stay with it to the end.

And no, BT will not kill the eggs. The caterpillars have to feed on the BT for it to work.

Ok no more neem. Do they look close to harvest?

How long have they been flowering?

I still see some white hairs. The buds should swell and the hairs recede. If you have a loupe, you can monitor your trichomes. 80% amber is what most call ripe. Remember to check the buds, not the leaves, as the leaves will turn sooner. Lots of good threads on here that explain all that.

They are frosting up nicely though.

Just pull off the leaves with eggs.

Well yes thats what I have been doing.

This plant was planted on june 13th, what is with the curling of the leaves what's the cause of this? Or is it normal.
Here's the deal the plant was planted june 13th, I don't know the strain but believe it to be in the more sativa side. another boner on my part, don't know how long it has been in flower. I wasn't planning on growing a plant, seed was found in some weed we had, so I soak it overnight and planted in my garden with all my peppers and onions.

Sick leaves makes a smell that attracts insects.... So, yes it is a part of the problem...
You seem to be early into flower... you could try hosing the plants down with the garden hose, and wash some of the crap and insects off.

I hate neem. Won't use the shit. They look like they never "swelled up" look a bit sparse, def. frosting up. Looks like needs couple wks to me, but like dude said u really need to inspect your trichome under magnification. Like a jewlers loop or a good magnifying glass. When ripe 3/4 or more of the trichomes should be milky/cloudy. B4 ripe trichomes are transparent. Over ripe they start turning amber as they degrade. You may see some amber trichome at harvest. That's normal. Hope that was more helpful...

There is no crap and insects on the plant, there is nothing to hose off.

My estimated target date for harvest is Oct 10, You think the curling is from the cold at night? I will have to get some kind of magnifier. thanks

Oct 10th is right around the corner you should be just fine. Looking at triches under mag is the only way to truly tell ripeness. The curling could definately be from the cold. Look healthy overall. Hopefully they plump up a bit more but even the fan leaves have frosty edges. So that's a good thing. Might need a little longer than you think. Idk. After you look at the trichomes you will have a much clearer picture. When they about 75% of them are milky, start your week long flush. Everything looks good man.
