Thanks for the share man. The more I read, the more confused I get. Everyone has opinions, but test results with explanations are much better for my liking. I was doing 220 for 30-60 mins. I will be trying this new method to see for better results.

I'm taking out the magic butter machine today. I'm going to try a few different things. I will share the results in the coming days.

Update:

I decided to make a batch of treats for my patients and myself. I used the magic butter for the first time and the machine was simply amazing! I give this machine a sold 5 starts. It was user friendly, simple, quiet and did the job it was intended to do. For butter, the machine say's to set temp @ 160 and hit 2 hours. Since I was using the max amount of butter ( 10 sticks ) and a lot of product ( 2 oz of Nightmare OG, 10 grams hash and 7 grams Nightmare OG wax ) I decided to set the machine for 4 hours instead. Not only was the butter amazing, but clean up took 2 minutes and the machine has a self cleaning mode.

I took the advice from the link Vanillahub shared. I de carb @ 240 for 60 mins on my dry ice hash and buds. I then simple melted the butter, pored into machine along with product and the rest was history. The butter it's self smelled and tasted amazing! The effects of a 4X4 treat lasted about 6-7 hours and I had zero complaints. I will be looking forward to learning how to use coconut oil with the machine and some other things.

Here are a few pictures of the cooking project. Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

I like to drink far too much. I never would have stopped without high THC varieties. I wouldn't stress that part.

All science indicates pot is an exit drug, not a gateway drug. Good luck with your patient, I'm sure the many helpful members who post here can point you in the right direction.

If I had cancer I'd be hitting it with every cannabinoid I could possibly get my hands on.

Organiccbd, glad you hooked up with Genotype A! Sounds like you picked up some winners for sure. The Startonic is an amazing cut but it doesn't handle stress well so be nice to her and she'll produce the frostiest buds you've ever seen. If you think the OG stretches fast in veg just wait until you flip her, be prepared for her to triple in size. The Deathstar is a fat bushy one, easy to grow but stinks like crazy!

Thanks for the tips! So far the Death Star looks like it was been topped 12 times, yet I havn't topped it once. The Nightmare OG looks like trouble for sure! I have been super cropping and training them, but I still can't get them under control. Also, the branches seem to grow very thin on the nightmare. I'm not sure how they will support bud structure so I threw them into tomato cages and plan on wrapping pipe cleaners around the bud sites when in flower.

Gentotype A was well worth the trip. It was very underground and hard to find, but man where the cuts nice! I was looking for your strain, but they were out that weekend. The following weekend it was on the menu. They did ask how I heard about them. I simply said Huel Perkins. He said " that's whats up ". Great place and prices are more then fair. If I need more cuts, I will take the long drive again for sure. Thanks for the hook up Huel!!

I posted this somewhere else, but didn't get any responses.. My CBD plant has a sativa pheno. Sativas are not good for me.. Is there a chance this plant could make me feel speedy and paranoid? It's supposed to be 8% CBD 6% THC..2014-07-06 22.45.52.jpg

Hi Sunny. I'm no expert as I'm learning as I go along with you, but, I wouldn't worry about such a low THC plant. I think the CBD and THC will be a good blend and take some of that panic away. This is what I'm hoping for my Shark Shock. It's a 6-6 ratio for a patient that doesn't like the " high " feeling. I doubt it will even be 4% thc when I harvest.

Let me know how things go please.

I'll let you know what my buddy says about it.. I'm going to make him try it first :) :) I did sample some cannatonic a while back. I guess it was ok.
One of my goals was to grow a plant that would smell and taste good, but be low enough in affect that a nice big cigarette could be enjoyed by a few friends. I think that's one place the MJ growers have gone wrong.. Part of the enjoyment of mj is the process of smoking.. If the bud is so strong that you can only handle one small toke then you are missing out on part of the fun.. What if one sip of beer made a person drunk? I doubt many people would enjoy drinking beer..

I'll keep you posted..

I have a quick question for you guy's. I seem to have a pistil color problem.

Light-1000 HPS
hood-raptor
Temps-73-77
Distance from canopy-16 inches
week of flower-10
resin glands-milky and amber
Strains-blue dream, kandy kush and snow cap

So the issues is the top half of my plants don't seem to want to change color on the pistils fully. The lower half of the plants are fully changed. What causes this. I'm curious since this seems to happen often.

Thanks

Those pistils are "fresh" they are still trying to attract pollen.she feels the best chance is up high.
Look at the trichomes not the pistils. I was taught plants mature from the middle.
And as Sunni implied strains will vary.

Pot is like pork.. better to overcook it than undercook it :)
I look at my plant every day and think about harvesting, then I just close my tent and walk away :) She's 62 days into flower.

It's hard to decide. I'm glands are milky/amber. The only issues is pistils are white on some buds. I believe if I gave them a flush, let them drink for a week then 2 days of darkness, I should be good. If my memory is correct, in the past the white pistils turned red and orange after the harvest. I think it's simply because the plant knew it's time was up.

I'm not a fan of amber unless the strain is a heavy indica. The blue dream is much better milky and so is the candy kush. The snow cap I like amber. I guess I will see what happens. It's been 10 weeks or so of flower now, I'm sure I will be pleased with the end results regardless.

This is pretty normal with a lot of strains, usually the more sativa in the genetics the more common it is. Some strains with a lot of sativa in them just never seem to stop pushing out new flowers, even when the majority if the flowers are beyond ripe.

Like Nancy said, just worry about the trichomes, after all that is what we are really harvesting.

making a batch of CBD (valentine X) blueberry streusel muffins (real blueberries, NO high fructose corn syrup, NO preservatives, NO artificial flavors). I put the entire plant (small bud branches, all flowers and trim into bubble bags. I think I might have gotten 6g of bubble total (still waiting for it to fully dry). ill put 3g into each batch of muffins.

add bubble hash to 1/3 oil (per direction on recipe)
cook on dbl broiler for 45 mins at 150*
stir well often
let fully cool
add to recipe
bake
enjoy

Well, I'm going to make the first batch of RSO. I'm a little nervous, but I think I will be ok.

I decided to do it in a safe and controlled environment instead of my garage. I would like to know if anyone has any tips or heads up's on what to expect on m first run. The videos I have watched make it look pretty simply, but I'm sure problems can happen.

Thanks

Allow more time to fully purge the solvent than you would otherwise expect. I have limited experience with it, but 4+ hours is what it took me.

Agitate/stir the mix periodically as a lot of the resin/oils will settle to the bottom and can burn.

Obviously, use a fan to carry the fumes away
