i follow the thread but it's slipping my mind atm... but someone has a journal called "Diary of a Level 2 Plant Slayer" or something like that, heheh. ;-)
.
Haha my thread is slipping your mind???

I got to say atleast my plants aren't dead, diseased, overnuted, or yellow. So far for my first grow I guess its pretty decent. Shit could be worse hahaha.

Plants are happy again, used filtered water with Hygrozyme and a small amount of cal-mag last night and shit was good to go, gonna use hygrozyme with every watering from now on....

It sure could have. I kinda knew they were gonna be females though :P

So nothin really to update lately. They are doing really really well. Hygrozyme helped a buch and they are healthy as can bee. The bud sites are developing and I'm seeing more and more pistols

Will take some pics when things get more interesting though!

Bud sites are gettin big, and their all over. Need to water tonight and will take some pics to post.

Question: So i've read that some people just use R/O water every other watering. What is the benefit of this? I feel like the plants need nutrients, I could see every 3 waterings possibly to flush, but do most people use Plain/RO water for hempy?

I supposedly use straight water every other watering, at least that's my stated policy, but I violate that policy constantly. I read recently that perlite does not retain nutrient salts the way other media does and may not need to be flushed. I have no proof of this, but I'm going with it because it's what I want to believe! Just keep a close eye on your plants and if you see any leaf tip burn or curl, do a flush. But follow it with light feeding so you don't set up a deficiency.

The plants are getting tall and bush and the bottom/sides weren't getting as much light anymore so I added in my 4 T5 Fluorescents on the side so I could get some good side lighting and also put a 100w CFL on the other side, still got my 400w HPS on top as you can see.

So far so good, hempy is way to easy to manage, just a waiting game at the moment. Took some shots upclose with my marco lens

Has anyone heard of/tried leaving the lights off completely for a day or two? I've heard of doing this right before you harvest, but a friend recommended I do this during the flowering cycle, says it makes the buds swell and what not.

any feedback on this?

I also want to start using molasses in my feedings, anyone know the ratio/water to use?

Hey man, your looking good. Do no interrupt the light cycle at all if you can help it. It can cause your plant to hermi, trust me. I recently tried the lights off 3 days before cutting. Made NO difference. Harvest when ready regardless of light cycle. Buds will swell just fine without you doing anything :)... that is... except for you being patient. Hang in there.

Thats what I was thinking...I have heard to do it a couple days before harvest but other than that I don't think I want to just cut out a day of light mid grow. Yes patience is the key and I think i got it.

You know it was my first grow, i guess in retrospect I may not have needed to water with nutes while they are making their way down to the res but I really don't think it can hurt. I guess I see it as a soil-less/nutrient-less medium and it wouldn't hurt to add some nutes in there.

Did you mean 400ppm or 40ppm?
Yeah I've kept mine around 400-500ppm any higher and they start to show burn so I'm just gonna keep it around there since thats what they respond well too.

Thanks for stopping by appreciate the feedback!
