The space im planning on using for my grow has a central a/c vent? Is this a problem? Has anybody else run into this?

Will smell be a problem going thru out the house via ac duct?

That is hard to say without going into detail. Does the vent blow or suck air?

Well its always possible for the smell to travel up the ac vent, have you setup a flowering chamber so you can control the light? if you have such a chamber, just put a carbon filter on that chamber and that should fix the smell problem.

The ac blows air but i thought the smell might still get in the duct work... I have built this closet and have a dr120 stored away and was thinking about just setting the dr120 up in the closet as a flower chamber and use the rest of the space for mothers and clones.

You are worried about it smelling more in the house than outside of the house? Should you be growing in the house if smell is a problem? If it is for kids and family that is understandable...I would be worried about the smell outside of the house. Unless you are hiding something from Momma! You will need fresh air in and a place for old air to go out...This old air can be pushed into the attic and connected to a carbon filter will keep smell down. Push the air outside is a bit more risky but if a carbon filter is in place you should be ok. I tend to always smell it in my house at late flower. I have a passive intake and 2- 6" ducts Y-branched to a single 8" duct. No carbon filter.
