centrifugal fan wiring

Hi all,

Has anyone ever tried to wire a Behtc centrifugal fan?

I have one which did not come pre wired so need to do
so, In the uk the wiring is as follows:

Brown = Live
Yellow/Green = Earth
Blue = Neutral

The diagram on my plug & my many searches online have
all confirmed the above but 2 stickers on the inside of the
fan where the cable connects to the fan say as follows:

Blue = Live
Yellow/Green = Earth
Black or Brown = Neutral

The complete opposite of what I should do + there is a
black thrown in for good measure?

I don't want to mess and risk blowing the motor on the
fan...

Any ideas...
