Hey well I recently found an old ballast hps 400 watt and I realy had no use for it untill I found out that philips ceramicmetalhalide allstart 330 watt replaces the hps and has the best spectrum of anylight out to date I am running 2 1000 watt hps and the 400 watt CMH as supplimentary light, anyone elsse using the CMH ? Pls shoot me some input on how you like it, it emits UV also its like having a little sun in your room I highly recommend this lamp.
I put er in tonight and wow can u ever tell the difference in spectrum when its on and the hps is off I have them running now for my flower and veg supplimentary light ill post pics tommoro any one else use em yet ?

i vegged this grow im on now with 2 400 cmh's and they grew quick, really quick! so i kept them as secondary lighting for flower. i added the 2 400's with my 3 1000hps's and man was it ever a mistake, during the 3 week stretch it made indicas that i normally grow look like sativas lol and the hybrids.....wow, they grew waaay too fast!! anyway i had to take them down and put the regular hps's back. great lamp but mixing them with other lamps requires some knowledge on plant reactions with various spectrums. great lamp to use if you only have 1 lamp or you plan on using nothing but cmh's for flower but mixing with hps's...... maybe you'll have different results. post what happens, i'm interested!

i been usin a 250 cmh now for about 2 years now
i eun it with a 400 hps and a 5 uvb

all sme time throughout flower

the truth of the matter
is cmh best for veg
cmh bast for first 1/3 fo flower to reduce stretch
hps best for rock hard buds in second 1/3 of flower
cmh best for final bulk up stage last 1/3 of flower

i spin and turn pots i just built like alarge lazy suzan
i use adouble hood wit uvb hanging off of it

it all works but sum things works better
you can grow on awindow sill

See I run a perpetual harvest and the lighting spectrum is great as for the stretch with a cmh .... I dunnoo man, I ran a grow with equal 1000 MH 1000 hps whole grow veg flower and it was my biggest yield and tastiest buds, iam only running the CMH bcz I just got it to experiment I have heard great thing about it in late flower I do journals and will post pics today as for now the ey are loving it praying to the ceiling :) and as for plant stretch u need GOOD genetics man I will only have vancouver islands seeds or jordan of the island in my grow room bcz I'm partialy sponsered by him not technicaly but were close.

This time I'm running just 1000 watt hps and 400 watt CMH I think the result will be like my first grow was very nice I will report on any stratching but as for your adding that many CMH with that much HPs is asking for trouble bcz the CMH has similar red spec as hps so you like quadroupled your red spec and added in just a bit of blue that's why u had the mad stretching I you would have run half the hps u did and the same CMH u would not have had the stretch try it man I love these lights for real the colour spec I have never seen a bulb with a colour like this, by the way how far did u keep your light from canopy in veg and in flower ? I have a 330 watt CMH on a 400 watt hps ballast

cmh can run on hps bal
yessir they are designed as a restrofit for all magnetic hps ballast I don't think they can run on the digital ballasts and im not sure if they run on mh ballast either. but I am 100 % they run on hps mag ballasts bcz mine is running great.

genetics is da game is why i shop at canna collective an attitude only
great genetics will almost grow themselves like a car wit cruse controll

my thing is dis 1/3 genetics (first)

hey guys im back with week 1 to 3 with the blue s.a.g.e and the l.s.d are finaly showing bud clusters much more sativa dom than I had anticipated but there looking great they don't taike much nutes not as much as my blueberrys, the temp is constant 76 in the morning rising to about 82 max by lights off I got a dehumidifier now so no chance of powder mold or mildew I can keep the humididty to a seady 30 if I wanted I let it creep around 40 ish, I will be doing my weekly jurnal updates now that I got some bud clusters. stay tuned guys I also got coming as my next crops I have blueberry cough, blue treat, blue ice, blue widow, blue cheese, all from Jordan of the islands its the only genetics I will grow or have in my room my community loves his work.
