Cereall's 700w LED Tent...

Hello all...
Started 12/12 schedule on 3/6/11

I have been a long time HPS grower and still using HPS lights, this is my "test tent" with 100% LED grown plants to see how they do

I am using 2 Hydroponics Hut LEDs and have 2 Grow LED Hydro 180w LEDs on the way right now which will give a total of 700 actual draw watts when they arrive..

Just put 12 plants into flower and plan on keeping them shorter and thick for a nice sea of green

Have a few different strains
(3)Purple Wreck, (2) Purple Kush,(4) OG Kush, (1) Afghani Kush x White Widow, (1) Northern Lights x White Widow, and(1) Super Skunk.

Growing in a growlab 120 which is 4x4

Questions/Comments welcome but not wanting to turn this into a HPS vs LED debate or questionnaire at all as they just turn ugly

Day 2 pictures of the first 12 plants and should be adding the 2nd batch of 12 in about a month to try to set up a nice staggered harvest and stay legal

Hey Bro!

I am just starting a few diesel rdyers under some LED. Starting under cfl for a few weeks first. Did you run LED right from the start? Beautiful crop will be watching it thru the bloom. Thanx

They look great, Ive never grown HPS or LED just CFL and under the good ole sun but LED are certainly interesting. Im just wondering I thought LED were much cooler than all the other lights how come your lights are so far away from the canopy of you plants it looks like 2.5ft away from plants is this because you raised lights for pics or what. Also how much did all those LED lights cost you must be thousands for all the shit you have if you use HPS and LED and other expencive shit...

I think it must be the angle in which i took the picture and they were slightly higher then as i was moving things around... the lights are set at 18" right now...

LEDs were pricey thats for sure... more than i care to add up right now lol probably around $3k+ easy for just my LED flower and veg but i consider this a reinvestment to better help my patients.
Plus LEDs are supposed to have a 50,000 hr lifespan ... figure even if they are half of that... they should last me 5.5 Years for the flowering tent.

I'd say along with almost any seasoned grower on here that you should move those lights down up to a foot each. Looks to be a very nice operation you've got going with led's there and you'll see explosive growth once the led's are closer to the canopy. Good to see people making use of the reputable led company's products.

Thanks for the advice... they are currently set right at 18" above the canopy... The lights were slightly raised when i photographed them and from an downward angle which made them look higher than they actually are.

I will move them even closer once i the other lights get here... hopefully by the end of the week if they shipped yesterday as i was told they would

Update...

Plants stretched quite a bit when the humidity was too high... but have that under wrap now but using a big dehumidifier... 400w and 45 pints a day... want to get a smaller one but dont know what size to get

Temps linger right at 78* with dehu... a little higher than i would like but this dehu kicks out quite a bit of heat... gonna try to rig up the back vent of the dehu to exhaust out of the tent... would be nice if i can get it to work

so... Lights are raised for the pictures then back to 16" now

pH keeps jumping up like crazy everyday... i set to 5.6 and up to 6.3 or 6.4 the next day... Using Advanced Nutrients BTW... not complete full line but several of their products.. Connoisseur, bud candy, sensizym, big bud, etc... will have to look later if anyone is curious

In the first pic is one of my OG Kush... real thick down low... couldnt get a complete picture on my camera but looking into trimming the lower portion of the plant just dont know how much to take off... advice or links to your threads showing examples?

Just did reservoir change and all plants have shown sex... 1 purple-wreck is exploding with pistils and forming nicely

My one and only Afghan/White widow turned out to be male but i am going to wait a little longer to make sure before pulling the plug

Anyways, added c02 ... digi grow works great for the price... and the plants are loving it...

running right around 80* but need to start dropping some frozen bottles into the reservoirs to keep the temps down a little

Update time... 20 days of 12/12

Coming along nicely

Ran into some sort of deficiency with my OG Kush plants only... all the rest look great

Dont know if it is the temperature drop at night (80* lights on/66* lights off) as that is the only closely related picture of a plant issue that mine exhibit.

1st pic is of the next batch to be added to flower in about a month

A few from the breeder OGRaskal
-Fire OG
-Fire Bubba
-White Master

And Casey Jones

3,4,and 6 are of my OG Kush's showing their tie died leaves

Got my new leds in....finally. Growledhydro's 180w, more like 192w
Currently at 530w of pure led. Cant run the 4th until I run a new electric line as I'm right at 12A when the dehu turns on and my veg room going which is another 300w of leds

New lights are way more purple, hydroponics hut contains a lot more white spectrum.

Will post up a few comparison pics when I get home later if anyone would like to see but they are def brighter to my eyes

Hey, I just started a grow with a PG 260 from Hydroponics hut too. I was wondering if you ran both the white and red spectrums all the way through veg? or only sometimes. Its my first grow and i'm not sure how the spectrums will affect the plant.

Hey bud

I used to run whites only as plants seemed to grow tighter nodes, but I need to run both to keep the temps a little warmer as my grow room is cold!

Run just whites if you can, seem to grow the same as full spectrum honestly. Yet tighter and less electricity. Only 45w

So i took a look through my problems guide.
And i really didn't find a definitive culprit. But it may be an iron deficiency

Thanks for checking

I have had 0 luck finding similar pictures

Took some advice from a few members who mentioned zinc and iron possibly... so i got some foliar feed that is supposed to be for those 2 deficiencies specifically... cant recall the name ... Spray & grow maybe oh well

But... these OGKush are killer to the pH... raising the pH so high after feed/res change days... so i think part of it could be that the high pH is locking out zinc so hopefully the foliar helps, but i also adjust the pH to 5.5 daily so IDK

Few update pictures of new lights... they def run a lot louder then the hydro hut lights.. which isnt really a big deal since well, its a grow room.

Also run a lot hotter since i would imagine is due to more watts... look nice... power on FAST HH lights take like 2-3 seconds to power up and illuminate. Spectrum colors look A LOT different also... have the 2 side by side and HH are much deeper/darker reds IMO and the whites are a more pure white compared to more pink/purple of the GLH and Blue/Cream of the white spectrum LEDs

Pretty impressed with both manufacturers of my LEDs. Both have the removable power cords, Def like the switchable spectrums on the HH for photo reasons lol dont know which light is better performance since they are mixed together but im hoping for some great finished product as i will have all 4 lights soon dedicated to the 12 current plants since others wont be ready to put into flower for another 3-4 weeks i think !?

NOW... I need to find a way to elevate my dehumidifier off the ground too make more room on the floor of the tent.... Ideas how to rig up a solid/ SAFE harness or mounting system to the top of the tent for the dehumidifier??

This is my dehumidifier... Poor reviews but i bought on craigslist with no research lol
