Certain strains better for pipes, some better for rolling, etc.

Not quite sure if this is related to the way the herb is cured or harvested because that is definitely a factor but in my toking experience I've noticed the fluffier more cottony bud is better for rolling joints/blunts while the denser more rockish buds pack better in a bowl. Just wondering what you guys think I might just be trippin bongsmilie

I have some Tahoe og kush that I can't run through my grinder because it clogs it up so bad so it goes in my pipe.

It depends on your way of processing the bud. I have this badass microplane herb grinder that does a beautiful job on processing flowers for bowl or cone. There is no kief catcher but that goes where it belongs... in a bowl or papers. If I want kief I'll make dry sift.

strains with a high content of essential oils and terpenes should yield the best rosin. basically if it has a powerful scent and has a crystally powder coat it should squirt out some serious honey. i suggest gorilla glue #4, any of the platinum strains, and grape ape for something tasty cheers m8

You have only just cracked the nut on the head ..indeed

I have found many northern indicas too oily for a bong or pipe

they just block up or you are forever cleaning your gear

some sativas are just ideal for the pipe, as in low maintenance

make the decision on how you use the weed in early cure

often it come as a surprise, or been cleaning your pipes/bongs out daily

good luck

I use a electric coffee grinder that you can get at any walmart or they have tons at them at goodwill for a few bucks. It grinds herb fine for me and usually I grind it really fine so it's vaps better in the volcano.

Me too mate, got my Coffee grinder from Kmart, $15 electric bargain and the dust on top of your bowl sends you too the moon.

Hhahah....I know exactly what you mean with the dust on top. I've had the same ole grinder for 12 or so years and I've scraped the shit out of the lid and bottom several times over the years; and yes the fine power puts you over the moon and back. Scrap the underside of the blades to! :) I'm going to try my ninja food processor next for a quick grind of a oz. There's a youtoube video of a guy using a magic bullet just fine.
