!!!!cf off the scale!!!!!!

ffs!!!!! cant you see the part where i said i never knew my truncheon was fuk'd!!!! UNTIL I GOT MY NEW 1.....

TIP TOP m8 ,,this is how n why im up at 240ml each part.....

when i started flowerin my cf/ec was only 48 which is roughly 180ml each part. which my new truncheon can read!!!!! my old truncheon at that point was only reading an ec of 20..
when i saw i was at such a high strength i tried to lower it but the plants went yellow coz they didnt like the drop in strength. when i added more nutes to the tank to bring it back up to the level it was b4 i reduced ,the bitches loved it n came back to life.

we all know that plant will deteriorate if you lower the nute strength, esp if its been sittin at a certain strength for so long ,

240ml each part isnt impossible m8, as im proving.

i never had a clue to the strength of my nutes till i used the NEW truncheon. how many times must i explain this to you all.

it might be hard to believe but i can assure you i added 240ml each part on the last feed.
is it sooooo hard to believe.

anyway its got nufin to do with whether im believed or not , all i wanted to know was how the hell do i get to find out the actual strength of the nutes in the tank if my NEW truncheon only goes up to 52.

and wot do you mean ERROR , do my plants look sick , noooooooooooooooooooooooo
are my plants sufferin , nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

cud it affect them , yesssssssssssssssssssssss
you know aswell as i do that if i keep on top of them there wont be any probz. if i let the strenght wander too far then yes i will have probz but ive managed to keep them healthy at this strength for weeks n weeks so another 4-5 wont hurt..

Lower the amount of nutrients in your tank back to a sane level...

If the truncheon cannot measure your EC because it is too high then YOUR EC IS TOO HIGH...

FFS, you come here bitching because someone does not immediately answer your flawed question. When you bother to provide the data requested it appears that you are using 6 - 12 TIMES THE NUTES recommended by the manufacturer.

You are the one here looking for answers while telling us that your botched nutrient mix is perfectly fine and the plants love it... If it is perfect then just go away...

You are welcome....

heres sum pics of my lemon skunk n chese frm greenhouse to show you that if managed properly you can still have healthy plants sittin in nutes that are way above the reccomended.

the pics were taken roughly 3wks ago, at the start of flower
the cf/ec readings at this point were around 50.

not a burnt leaf in sight.

Around 2.5x the strength of what it is supposed to be then? Furthermore look at your meter, those are decimal places, so 4.8.
ec wud be 48 cf wud be 4.8 m8....
n yeah im feeding them way above average.. but i didnt know this at the time.

nlxsk1 , if you actuall read wot i said m8 instead of lettin yer belly rumble you wudov seen that i asked how can i tell wot my nute strength is... i never asked anything else m8.!!!!

if my plants love wot im doin then my nutes aint botched are they lol...

Well that is just peachy keen!!!

Glad your huge mistake didnt burn the shit out of your plants.

However, in the future, dont use over 10* the recommended nutes and you might be able to read the EC... Or just throw out the meter FFS, you seem to know everything anyway.

IF IM WELCOME , really am pmsl m8.... any mods reading this will see i asked legit questions n will see you gave crappy answers along with cheek...

way i see it is , if you cant take it dnt give it m8...

Anyone reading this thread can go see that you posted a question and started whining less than 3 hours later when someone didnt bother answering it for you.

It was not a legitimate question as you did not provide the relevant information to answer the question. Finally, when you bothered to post your info on nutes and it was proven that you are using an insane amount your response is to argue with the people that helped you out.

Go take a dump and try to measure the EC of it with your meter... Too high eh? It might mean you are full of it...

how can i possibly find out wot the nute strength actually is.???

my tap water reads zero on my truncheon so say if i added (exactly) 1 litre of the nutrient solution to (exactly) 1 litre of tap water wud this actually half the cf/ec reading.?????
if my new truncheon only goes up to cf OF 52 / EC 5.2 and the nute strength is way way over that then how do i tell wot its sittin at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats y i asked if i was to add 1 litre of water to 1 litre of solution wud this half the nute strength.

Yes, if you take 1 liter of your super overdosed res water and cut it with equal amounts of RO water, it will half your EC. I suspect you will need to cut 1 liter res water with 3 or 4 liters pure RO to get about an EC of 2 because you dosed at 12.5ml/l, about 5 times too much. Try that out.

hey drbubbles i read what you wrote and it made sense to me mate, i haven't read the bickering in between so i'm not sure if you got an answer and unfortunately i can't give you 1 as i don't use an e.c meter i have the same 1 as you but don't use it as i'm in soil, but after taking a couple of mins thinking about it all i could come up with was to take 1:10 ratio of your nutes take the measurement and then add another tenth of the solution and take the reading and so on until your meter max's out and hopefully raising it consistently by 1 tenth of the solution the e.c will raise at a steady and constant rate making it easier to work out what the end number will be, unfortunately mate like i said i don't use mine so this is best guestimation for me. best of luck mate and if you do work it out let us know what the numbers were i was lead to believe any thing over 2ish would cook

How about diluting your sample by 50-25% test it and see were your at MATE?
Oh.. Like he said LOL!! And welcome.

I'm going to venture a guess and just hope it's right...Okay, the nutrients are added to a 20L tank. If you add a gallon to that, then that's the full strength of the nutes. If you added a gallon of tap water to the gallon of nutes, no it would not be 1/2 strength, because we're talking about 20L mixtures. To half the strength of the nutes you have to use twice the size of reservoir, 40L, or half the nutes, 1/2 gallon.

That's a guess as to how it works. I'm still trying to get my own bubbleponic system up and running. Dang it, I have one more order of equipment I'm waiting on and have been waiting for nearly a month.

thanx for the info guys , thanx dragon , ( smart way o thinkin ) n magnificant thats startin to make sense aswell man coz i tried the method i was thinkin about (1litre of solution in 1 litre of tap water) n i got the wrong reading.. i was racking my brain for days thinkin how i was gona aproach this...

see how these plants have been on such a high strength feed for so long , will they not suffer frm the severe drop in feed.(if i was to decide to dilute)

thanx for the welcome dirtsurfr
