CFL Grow: 85w cfl perpetual SOG op

Hey guys this isn't my first post, infact, as a new member to RIU.org i made my first posts in a different forum, yet still its an all CFL system. In short i use 2 85watt CFL's per plant, for 3 plants. I have a flowering box with 6 85watt CFL's about 2ft x 1.5ft square.

Here is a link to my old posts, but they are current, and have all the info and pictures up to 12/02/10. Going to start making posts in this thread to reach more of the CFL grower community for help, tips, or advice! Thanks!

And wheres the cheapest 85 watt cfls?

Yea, they are 85watt cfl's that are equivalent to 350w HID, i got them at www.1000bulbs.com, they seem to be pretty cheap, about 18-22$ per bulb, depending on brand. The bulbs put out 5800 lumens per bulb, which gives me 11,600 per plant.

Im using 2 bulbs per plant, with 3 plants = 6 for veg area, and 6 bulbs for the flowering box. 12 bulbs total.

Those 85w cfl's are equivalent to 85w HID lighting. The 350w is its incandescent equivalent.

Those flowering babies are really starting to take off and stretch now, can't wait to see those ladies grow.

Havent had an update in a while, nothing really new is happening, just the period of time for new roots to come in on the clones i took and put those in the box, so i decided to take pics of the 4 i got flowering.

Those ladies are looking the finest color of green and I can't believe how tall they're getting.

couple new pics of the ladies, pics of more developing budsites on the stalk, pretty amazing! kinda starting to get the bumpy parts on the leaf where the crystals will form. Just over 3 weeks of flowering.

I went shopping today at the hydroponics store down the street, met the owners and sat with them for almost a half hour, talkin and discussing ideas and products. Ended up with some Safer 3 n 1, and some Clearex.



Ok just a heads up, Safer soap is excellent, great product, but it STINKS SO BAD!! I HIGHLY suggest you spray it outside... i used it in my tub since i cant broadcast my stuff outside. This stuff smells like a dead foot, covered in burnt hair next to a smelly turd. IT REEKS! Had me almost upchuck my Double Double from In n Out (jealous? ) Nasty sulfur smell, but still, GREAT product, smells bad, works good. If u have bug problems this is your solution to organic materials to rid you of pests and mold!

Got the clearex to wash my nutrients out for cloning, guy said lots of growers use this to speed up the cleansing process and get your clones free from nitrogen built up in the plant. Wont stunt growth and keep it on a regular rooting cycle, instead of waiting for your plant to rid and use the stored nutrients.

Mmmm... Steaks!

Havent really updated in a while, to be honest... not much is going on! bugs are gone n dead, lower branches have been removed along with dead leaves that have shed off over time. Added quite a few new ladies to the box!



Also took 4 True OG clones, as well as 2 more Geisel Clones, clearing some lower branches to avoid the coco n water splish splashing around, getting the leaves wet n dirtay. Hopefully those will root and i will have some pictures of those. Using new method of Clearex wash one watering, then a double container size pure water flush(ph'd of course), seeing if this will result in faster rooting.

Took a few clones and potted them in some coco in the little red cups. Older clones in the cups are now looking perky and taller! Now at week 4 of flowering Giesel's and they are looking nice! More pictures to come tomorrow!

Looks like those buds are fattening up nicely. I want to see one long bud all the way down to the soil!

Just taking a look at all of those plants you have in there it's hard to believe you could even smoke all that yourself. This CFL craze is no joke, I'm thinking of hacing a little box in my closet now.
