CFL Grow: Blueberry

I was going to wait til I started flowering to start this journal, but Im feeling a little bit impatient...

These are my blueberries at around 3 weeks or so. Theyve been topped (going to LST too) and now Im just waiting to see some signs of sex. There are some little 'nubs' showing but not enough to determine what it is. Im hoping for 2 females and 1 male because Im wanting to pollinate a few branches and create my own seed stock.

For vegging, Im using a 125W CAP 65K bulb and a few 23W around the sides.

For flowering, I have one 200W 27K, two 42W 27K, and a split reflector that will hold one 23 65K and one 23 27K to 'balance' out the light spectrum.

Temps stay around 80-82 F, humidity runs from 45-65%

I guess thats about it for now, I plan on updating again when I find out their sex.

Feel free to ask any questions or give some input! Enjoy! :joint:

the plants have started to get bushier and ive started training some of the branches. still havent found out the sex of the other two plants (the male is the top right, should be some good pollen to collect. the damn thing is the most vigorously growing of the three!)

I also took 5 clones and cleaned out the bottom branches and leaves that werent getting much light. As of right now, i should have 6 tops for either of the other two plants, if theyre females anyways.

I decided to use the clones to be pollinated, i figured that pollinating the branches on the main plant would take away some of the growth to produce seeds. definitely a win win situation!

and i begin flowering in 1 week, i cant wait!

Now its the first day of flower. I gave the plants about 36 hours of darkness and they did show a little growth. I also changed up the feeding a few days ago, adding more P-K

I now have one 200w and two 42w 27K CFL's along with one 23w 65K in the room.

These first 4 pics are before the dark period

These are after the 36 hour dark period and the last one is my sperm donor.

Question for you, how long did you leave the new sprouts under a baggie in the grow cup before you fully exposed the plant without the humid baggie...?

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Im suprised the journal is getting some replies now. One thing ive noticed about this cfl light forum is all the unity and support between the growers.

Im hoping these plants have the gene for some super blue buds, thats one of the main reasons why I decided to go with this strain.

Its really going to be dependent on their state, but i would suggest anywhere from 3-6 days.

Updates in a few days
