So this is my second grow indoors. I have 3 plants. Bubba Kush is 11.5 inches and the 2 tahoe thunders are 9.75 inches tall. I feed them a mixture of synzim, super thrive, 1/2 strength miracle grow nitrogen advance for the nitrogen an I use sensi grow for my base. I have 3 100 watt energy safe cfls hanging at different angles surrounding the plant from above. Then hanging directly from the top I have a 250 watt bright white bulb that says up to 4000 lumens but average 3350. I also have a 36 inch tfl 17 watt fish tank light on the bottom of the tent facing up to get the underside. I wanted to know how this is a far nutrients and do I need more lighting? Any help or recommendations would greatly help! Btw it is in a grow box that's 3 ft wide and is 5ft tall. I have Mylar covering the inside and I have 2 oscillating 6 inch fans blow to keep them cool.

anyways any help or point in the right direction would be great! Thanks!

the answer all depends on the plants and if they bush out / get taller

with a cfl and i highly reflective surface u get maybe 6 to 8 inchs of light after that it is to far from the plant to be helpful...................your best bet is to go to a home depot grab some of the clip lights and a some growlights the old fashion style from philps ..........u can use the cfls and then use the plant lite in the clip on to hit the spots u need more light ( i am finding they work great do some UVa in the light my buds this round are tighter and seening much more resin )

or u could look at amazon and think about getting some led pannels i have found 1 foot pannels for under 50 bucks and with uv light in it for the resin glands

Thanks for the advice. Anyone else have any direct comments on the lighting itself and if it is good enough for the amount of plants?

Keep CFL's close [as close as possible] to your plants…

You can not add too many CFL’s to your grow…

Control your heat, do not let heat creep up too close to 85 f…

Your grow box/room will have ‘Hot Spots’ in it, so if you see 85 f , it’s probably 90f somewhere in you grow…

Control the heat, add more light…

And you’re on your way to happy plants!

Good Luck!
