Anyone know a good way to lower the heat radiating from the CFLs miniballast on the bulb??

i have a tornado on the set up, the bulbs are literally cool to the touch, but the miniballast is constantly radiating heat. i have 10 42watt cfls altogether. 8 5500k, 2 2700k for now. i have 6 more 2700k for flower.

That's not aluminum foil you're using for your ballast right? If it is, then it could be part of your heat problem. If not, then I'd have to say just aim a good fan at your ballast to displace your heat.

i have a separate fan blowing specifically on the lights, I also keep a couple gallons of cold water behind some of my fans, works like a poor mans air conditioning.. =)
