CFL Light Colours

Hi all, just wanted to ask a question about CFL growing. I noticed there are many different colours/tones. Just wanted to know what colour I would need, and if I need different colours for different stages of the plants development. Also I may just be growing 1 small plant and was wondering how many lights I lights or CFL watts I would need above the plant.

Hope you can help, Thanks! :leaf:

There are many factors to CFL yield but I use a combination of 2700K and 6500K about 90% 6500K and 10% 2700K (wattage wise) in veg and 90% 2700K and 10% 6500K in flower. Some folks go all 2700 or all 6500 but I find a little variance helps.

u have to have 2700k for the flowering stage, u can start and finish with it but if u use 6500k for veg u will have to change in bud stage.. if i were u i would get 2 85 watt 6500k for veg and 1 200 watt 2700k for flowering

Hey web is that incandescentequal or the actual wattage cos there are 2 different wattage's written on the pack, yeah I am a noob at this atm.

The amount of lights is not the thing its the total watts per square foot. At minimum I reccomend 20-30 watts per square foot for veg and 40-50 watts per square ft for flower. Minimum. And CFL's have a lot of variables for a good yield namely light placement the closer the better and if you can surround a plant with cfl's well lets just I have seen some great buds from doing that. Such as depicted in the "seemorebuds" book. Although I have never achieved the yield the book states, but thats beyond the point the technique is solid.
