Please, please put some tape around those wires And the weed not free, he will be paying with all the time he puts in.

Thanks for the input everyone. + rep. I took it all into account for a slight update.

Dropped some bread on the modifications in the neighborhood of $45.

I fixed the loose wires and all that. Plus more. It is safe. I used a lot of extenders, I didn't over do it and the strip is grounded.

I also put a homemade activated carbon filter using a fish filter emptied out and refilled. Made it airtight with tape. The airflow is about half the force of what it was, and the output fan has a serious backdraft, but I trust its effectively scrubbing. (On a side note, I think the vacuum effect produced is helping cool the CFLs considerably)

Also, been doing some LST. Seems quite bushy, but I am bending it away from the fan to maximize the space in the box.

I have officially flipped to flowering. Can you guys help me confirm its a girl yet ?

Just a suggestion my friend, Try to get some glue to hold down the duct tape.

The constant flow of air around the box will eventually lift the tape up, Just happened to my fans on my double stack grow.

I took glue gun and glued around the duct tape to create a better seal, You'll see what I mean after a couple days.

Nice idea, I noticed that my aluminum tape is starting to lift in my cabinet, funny thing is that it didn't happen in my pc grow. Thanks for the idea!!

If you officially transitioned to flowering on the 23rd its still too early to tell, but i cant really see anything that screams male on any of em. Give it a couple weeks and then you should start seeing the differences (i.e. hairs or bulbs).

yeah it took me about 12 days maybe till i first saw the white pistols.
you can defiantly tell the difference.when they start coming.

Hey RIU,

This is an old thread from my summer grow. Ended up with a fucking guy, had to kill it. I was feeling real shitty about that, but now I am back in my school grind and have a beautiful closet set up at my place. I am using the SAME grow box, but I am feeling so much better about this grow.

I am going 12-12 from seed. Currently I have a month old on one side of the box and a seedling on the other side. My hope-plan is that I will harvest my bigger lady (Sydney, or Syd) just in time to really let the second one (yet unnamed) flower into the rest of the box.

I am already LST'ing the big girl slightly. I could use some advice on maybe supercropping? At its max the box will be very crowded. Also should I top? Or maybe top the second one at the right moment to slow its growth before I have harvested Syd?

I only have one grow under my belt. I cant remember if i topped. But LST in a my PC worked quite well. I worked at bending it around the container and kept the lights as close as possible. I do hear super cropping works great but LST works so well and it was quite easy.

Sorry guys, been trying to post pics for a while now and been having trouble with RIUs interface. Just figured out that not using the incognito mode is essential to smooth operation.

Anywho, back to the lady:

She is looking great! I am happy I flowered from seed because she is growing fast! I think she will end up filling out the box perfectly. I have been LST'ing the hell out of her since day one, and also supercropped (HST) two of the first branched colas that got over-eager early. They all responded well, as you can see. Lots of colas!

The seed I planted on the opposite side of the box is dead. She is still fighting right now, but she will die soon. The seedling sprouted but could not shed its shell; I realized this too late and by the tie (yesterday evening) I pried the seed off the stem myself, the cotyledons underneath seemed to have died from underuse. A shame, but Syd will surely do the box justice by herself.

Also been rearranging my CFL's daily. I think that's needed, simple because the distance is so important.

The box is quite stealthy otherwise! Lately however the smell has been getting bad. I've been using dryer sheets and stuffed activated carbon filters. The problem is that small computer fan isn't rated as powerful enough to really power a filter necessary.

Also, what is the general opinion on pruning? Should I be trimming any excess underused undergrowth/fan leaves?

Sweet! Not only the Weed, but the Grow Box. I like the way you stealthed the lights under the CD. I am getting great ideas for mine!
