Cfl question

I am someone who has too much free time on his hands due to being medically retired for back problems. I love learning new things and researching theories. Recently I was blown away by a book called "Buds for Less" It is a cfl grow guide.

I have grown hydro before in an NFT system. (Not impressed) After reading the book I decided to test the theory. One thing I notice on these cfl grows is that lots of people use the 26 watt setup. I would tell anyone to use the 43 watt. 2700 lumens!!! If you are gonna go this route why not get the most you can.

But the one thing I see is setups with 6- 8 bulbs. I paid almost 9 dollars for the 43. At that price, you can get 150hps for about the same. Check out htgsupply.com. And check out ebay.

I am not knocking the system because cfls have there advantages. They run cool for one. Also every one is not trying to be "Frank Lucas". If you do not know who he is, never mind.

I am in search of some yield result stories. Does anyone have any? Hell I say if you can grow under a flashlight, It beats buying. Just my 2 cents

i grew with 8 - 23 watts and 1 long foure tube... only got 1.5 ounces in the end mainly because of problems...

im going with hps next time... i think cfls are good for learning and for specific types of grows

also cfls dont run that cool when you have so many,

after reading the buds for less i tried doing what he did and i didn't get close to the results, i think mainly because he had a much bigger area, more experience, and a better strain

oh well

Well i like pablo acosta, to hell with frank. But the soil was the trick and the strain, now re-read the flower cycle, the answer is there.
I have done it with 6.5 zips in the end, not bad for a quickie.
A small h.p.s. Is cool to add to c.f.l. But if thats the case just get a 400watt
and skip the rest, but it is cool to see what happens. B.t.w. Notice no nutes.
Hmmmmmmm. G.l.

How many plants? 3 like in the book? I would say the system is a great way to learn and get the basics down. So how did the time released nutes do for you? I give props where props are due. I have seen some of this guys other books and advertisements. I would listen to him based on what I have seen and read.
kiss-ass
