Agree, 3 per plant min, more better. The best buy I found on 40 and 42w (never seen a 46) is at amazon.com

I like 42s for several reasons. They are cheaper per watt, they are easy to mount and move around and to get a mix between 2700k and 6500k. Also, cfls lose lumens long before they burn out. So old bulbs still have some light giving light left in them. 42s can be used in various places but where are you going to use a huge one?

I was going to hang the large one right above the 4 plants its like $30. So i guess u prefer many 42wat all around the plant then one big ass cfl. I also was reading anything under 5000k for vegging is wasting your time. thanx for your response

i would say at least 3 a plant
I agree with 3 min but remember with CFL grows, more lumens or watts = bigger yield and danker bud

Yeah many versus one allows the plant to absorve more of the light (light is spread out more). Well in my opinion anything below 5000k is useless unless you are trying to purposely induce stem growth (Ex: if ur stems are abnormally thin).
