hello,
i thought i would share my grow with you guys i think this is the right section in the forums , its my third grow but the previous two were for learning more than anything else didn't harvest as much , i am using a big 50cm(20inch) diameter bucket as a grow box i have 12 CFLs overall i use a mix of 2700k and 6500k depending on the phase, its a bag seed, i think its a sativa because it was stretching like crazy starting to flower also the structure, i have maybe 2 to 3 weeks to harvest as i've been told here in the forums, what do u guys think, any thoughts or advice.
thanks

Have a look, at any available LED screw in lightbulbs. I would think by now, in most any geographical area, they can be found for $1 USD or less... By removing the diffuser cover, the lumen output is greatly increased. Many K values available, from 2700K up to 5000K, mix em in.... Although the sockets would need to be adjusted to point downward, but the light would be far more directional....
Nothing wrong with CFL, but mixing in some cheapo LED can increase light intensity and potentially save valuable headroom!!!!

Looks like you are having a pretty good result with what you have now, so keep on keeping on!

thanks a lot for your info, i actually tried what you are saying in my last grow but i got a very small plant so i thought that the ordinary led household bulbs arent that effective when it comes to growing.if what you are saying is that the only thing that affects a plant grow is the spectrum and not the type of the led chip i would definitely try it again.
