CFL watts?

I am going to do a closet grow. 1-2 plants. what wattage CFLs will enable the plants to grow. Will low wattage work just not produce as much? I dont want the plants to get too big. thanks for any help

You can control the size of the plant with a better approach than denying it light. You should have at least 150w in veg and double that in flower would be good. The right spectrum mix in each stage too.

during early growth you can get away with lower wattage, i am in a similar situation and just put two rooted cuttings in my closet and have plenty of light on about 100+++watts.

100watts floro equal to around 300 watts++++ incandescent

Actually if you want to read a lot about CFls check this thread out! I wouldn't use low wattage ones I would just buy bigger ones it will pay off!
