Just transplanted seedlings to rockwool. Kept them in a normal lighted area until the seeds began popping out, now i have them under a 125cfl
...just until they start showing good leaf action. Keeping the rockwool lightly misted with a 5.5-6.0ph level. and placed in a makeshift dome for humidity. I have the cfl 18" from the rockwool tops. Figured i'd bang these out for 24 hours a day until the change. Sound alright?

also, i soaked the rockwool in a 5.5-6.0 water. NO nutes. going to begin a 1/4 nute solution when i transplant the rockwool starter cubes into the larger cubes.

I'm still new at this. But after killing off a bunch of seedlings, this time around I will remove the humidity dome as soon as they sprout and just mist regularly.

I just worry if im being too loving.

If you are new, then watch some https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/499298-grow-videos.html, read books or web sites, and realize that you probably will make mistakes along the way. That is part of the learning process. You can get good info here too, but there is a lot of misinformation to watch out for too.

There are better lights than CFL, but they will work too, especially for the earlier stages. My first grow is CFL-only, and my second probably will be too. It will be a while before I upgrade my lights. Just make sure they are around 6500K for veg, and 2700K for flower.

no, i just want to use cfl for the seed to veg step. veg to flower, mh hps

you can veg seedlings with 5-7k cfls.

i dont use a humidity dome for sprouts. to germinate i mist soil with warm water twice a day till they pop, then i start watering with like half an ounce to an ounce of water once a day until i can keep track of how much theyre drinking

That's legit. thanks for that info b. they've sprouted up around a 1/4 inch out from the rockwool in a day. stems are light going purple. it's white castle strain. hopefully that's legit. I was presuming so because it's part Ice.

youll notice as it enters veg its stem gets hard and sheds a skin..at least mine did
