Cfl's- To Reflect or Not To Reflect

I was thinking... i see alot of people setting up their cfls in lines and on surge protectors, home made reflectors and all that... now i am thinking... my other option is to simply hang all of the light bulbs everywhere, i plan on using 20 27 watt cfls on 5 plants... this is 500 watts of cfl... anyone have any suggestions on how to set all this up?? and what should i expect to yield from my papaya in dwc under those light?

hang the lights so that the plants get as much light as possible. (surround each plant with bulbs so its being bathed in lots of light, i recommend making a aluminum can reflector for each one if you do that though. cfls put out the greatest amount of light from the middle of the bulbs so you should hang the ones over tops of the plants horizontal, the lightbar trick makes it real easy to just plug em in and go, it takes like 1 minute to make a 4-6 bulb cfl fixture thats easy to lower and raise as the plants grow, i use a few in my veg area(2 fixtures of 6 26w 6500k bulbs each) and im very happy with it.

if you plan on growing more than one plant you can leave ones in the center of your area unconvered to give 360 coverage, for ones on the edges i would make beer can reflectors like dark said, remember with cfls you need every extra lumen you can scrap up

light barr? what is this??? so far i got two sockets with wires one 27 watt cfl in each with beer can refelctor
